3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been attending this school since kinder and it hasn't been great. His teacher in kinder was terrible. He got to a point where he was physically fighting to not go to school due to his teacher and bullies (in kindergarten!!!!) The school was just telling me to drop him off and walk away that he'll be fine. Im sorry im not heartless. Their attendance requirments are stupid my child has never been more sick than he has been since starting school. 1st grade was great but 2nd grade they started having him switch classes like in high school! His math teacher has very poor english so because hes hearing her pronounce things incorrect thats how hes pronouncing them. His other teacher sees him struggling knows he needs more help seeing his grade is bad but not once has she reached out to me. If my child has a 60% in your class and has failed EVERY test why havent i been notified? This school is terrible. They dont care about the students success at all. Sont get me wrong there are the very few teacher that care but the majority of them are terrible. Home school your child or have them so online or drive them to a different school anything but bring them hear. Oh and to add to it they have had a differnt nurse the last 3 years and the nurse is NEVER there. This year (2024-2025) my son refuses to go to the nurse because the nurse is mean. But like i said if you care about your child youd send them somewhere else. They will be miss treated and bullied and there needs will be ignored. There was a time my Kindergarten in the 1st 2 weeks of school needed to go potty but was told she wasnt allowed and that if she just had to go than she would lose her recess. No wonder they were having such a problem with kids having accidents at school.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Florence High School

"Training the owners to keep dogs away from other people’s front yards and making yet another marking place. Neighbors don’t want dog marking spots anymore than a dumping station. "

"The neighborhood is easy accessible but the 2 lane Hwy is very dangerous because of all the irresponsible drivers and when there is an accident, it’s a big inconvenience."

"Its a nice neighborhood with lots of parks, however, if you want cell service you need to have a booster from the cell company and use your wifi. Its also farther out from stores."

"Being in the retirement portion (Sun City)of the development does not allow much involvement in the family portion (Parkside) which should be kept in mind, but I believe everything from the developer side is well done and if I were young again I would be happy raising a family here. Being in the country vs city is the defining difference, but everyone of all ages we have asked expresses satisfaction and happiness with their choice. Available big city options such as tertiary medical services, without living in a crush of people, is to my wife and I a plus."

"congestive. way to many people for the info structure. the roads are being widened but that takes time. that is why I say it is congested. and during the colder months way to many snow birds. they just make the problem worse. and it seems to start earlier every year."

"This area is great if you want some solitude. Travel out of area is required for groceries, gas, pharmacy, etc. However, it is located about half way between Phoenix and Tuscon with good highways serving both. Freeway is approx. 30 miles to west."
