3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have lived in Oregon my entire existence (35 years young). This is literally the best, and I cannot express that enough, best school ever! My daughter was shy, didn't make friends easily and hated going to school till she made it to Melabon. She absolutely loves this school! She's making friends, wanting to go to school and excelling while there. She's finally being challenged which before she wasn't. He had been doing workbooks way before kindergarten. The staff is amazing wonderful people.Parent Review10mo ago5 Reviews - Cascade Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy expirience at this school has been absolutely horrible and disappointing for the mostpart. Throught my short amount of time being a middleschooler, the system at cascade has brought me almost nothing but disappointment and overall frustration. Every day I wake up and I dread seeing the administrators. They treat you like small children with no better judgment, and there is a strong and clear bias among student and staff relationships. Going into middleschool, I was very excited to see what it had to offer- however, I have been very deeply saddened by the progressively worse acedemic and social opportunities i have been given. Oftentimes, the vice-principal will preach about how he wants to raise the 'feeling of belonging' at our school, but he has done nothing helpful to make students feel like they belong. Often, in the 6th grade I would come home in tears due to poor bullying prevention and feeling like I was a 'freak'. When I would talk to my teachers and councilor about how outcasted I felt in this school, it wasn't until I changed myself that I finally felt like I belonged. This school system has brought me almost nothing but sadness and pure dissapointment. I met the current vice principal, and all he does is bully me and then switch up and act like my friend. I hear vulgar speech every single day , walking down the hallway. I am afraid to act or dress how I want for fear I will get bullied worse than I already am. The administrators do nothing to help this, as they often show no improvement after promising change. I have a good amount of time left, and I only dread it. I get body shamed, as I am naturally a bit chubby, I get called sexist things by both genders, and every day at this school makes me feel like a freak in the worst way. I saw a review that said it's like they teach a class on bullying- and i strongly agree with that. Please do better, i feel like crap. Also it's not a teacher problem, most sixth, seventh, and some eigth grade staff are amazing :))Other Review1y ago9 Reviews - Willamette High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHave had my kids in this school for last almost 5 school years now. My scores would have all been 1 Fully disagree due to this school and district treating my student at a dollar sign and that is it. They see that one of my student who is special needs has issues with a few boys on campus and yet even with a therapist saying her mental and physical health is at risk they deni us a Placement request to a total different district. They said the law says the issues at hand says they have to deni us the placement request. It has been fighting tooth an nail for proper IEP set up for one of our children. Our 2nd child is doing ok. There is a few teachers and vice principal which have lost one of good vice principals and a good teacher this year, but still a few good ones that truly care and want what is actually what is in the best interest of the student, being good role models, advocates, and mentors. Also the gates up and police on campus is a plus for some safety, but my daughter has been harrassed, threatened, put down, cornered, isolated, bullied since after covid and back to in campus all year up to currwnt date. Her anxiety, self isolation, depression, weight loss all are so bad that don't see how a school and district "Bethel School District" of West Eugene, Oregon could honestly only care about the dollars that follow the student and keep her here and through this and not grant a placement request to a fresh and safer request. I wish I had the money to move cause I would in a heart beat. Truly sadParent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 795 Highway 99 N.

"My neighborhood is never a dull moment down by four corners. There's a delicious Thai place closeby and I can walk a lot of places from here."
