8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is HORRIBLE.It's anything but safe at this school. Discrimination, people say the n word all the time, are racist, mysgonistic, shaming on same gender relationships, it's BAD. They shame if your'e fat, if your'e too tall, if your'e too short, if you wear socks or not, it's like students take a maginifying glass and stare at you for flaws.Look at the percentiles, its 86% asian(AKA, all Indian), other races are not accommodates, in the 27 African American people in the school I know a few, some close some indirect normally they are either really nice people who get misrepresented and disliked by school staff or they are straight up bullies. There's no social support, the Guidance is grumpy and horrible, they restrict your bathroom time with SmartPass, the head conscoulser wouldn't let me get a helper even tho I was straight up limping, could BARELY walk by the way, they block everything and act surprised when students use proxies, they censor even Google Classroom once, teachers monitor your screen 24/7 without actually teaching, and there are ADS in school resources.Your grades are 40% defined by your teachers(either they are nice or they are HORRIBLE), 30% defined by luck(if your teacher actually look at it, if you didn't have anything to do that night, yk), and 10% your effort(with 20% defined by your'e mental state).Mentally, there's always competition across the entire school, people shame over not choosing one elective or the other, there's no accommodation. There are two 8th grade students who have had miscarriage 3 TIMES. How does a school allow that. The extracirriculars feel like a extension to regular school, parents make everything worse forcing us to take extracurriculars we don;t have energy for, tuition which is school hell on steroids because we survived a school day already, idkThere's no recess, I literally hear screaming, mistreated Special Ed kids each day, the lunch ladies don't let us even WALK in the cafe, let alone talk to a friend NEXT to our table, the substitutes are entitled..Learning is basically defined by your teachers. Normally, endless homework, no breaks, and the teachers, oh well you can't even SPEAK to them. The only thing keeping this school alive is the fact that people actively break the rules to get a fresh gasp of air, which shouldn't happen in the first place, and the nice teachers out there.I've seen drugs get dealed, school drama to a concerning point, and psychical threats.NO.Student Review1mo ago25 Reviews - James Madison Intermediate Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter does great here at JMI. I don’t enroll her in any outside school math/English classes, like the majority of the parents do in the community and she scores very high in all subjects and state tests due to the teachers that teach her. I am not worried about her when I send her to JMI. While she did not always get daily homework, she learns a lot during the school time and I appreciate not having a stressful homework session at home. Before my kids were matriculated in the school, I use to substitute at JMI and have observed how wonderful the teachers and staff are. If parents and kids follow rules and behave, there are no issues. I do not like how the parents act in the parking lot and all the driving/parking rules they break in the mornings and afternoon, while the school tries to teach the kids how to be kind and respectful… they see differently when they are not inside the school. As a frequent school parent volunteer at many events, I truly see how fortunate I am to have my kids attend JMI.Parent Review2mo ago15 Reviews - James Madison Primary Elementary School
