NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe education is awesome. They did however ban my dog from the property for”looking scary” so I can’t bring him when I pick up my daughter. They also don’t enforce any of the crosswalk rules during AM kindergarten pick up. It makes me so nervous trying to leave the parking lot with kids and parents popping out everywhere.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Morton Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is currently in her 3rd year at Morton Middle School and I absolutely love the staff and teachers. They have been very helpful to me and my child. I was a substitute teacher for a year for the district and Morton Middle School is when you're going to experience a higher volume of children being mean to other children they aren't associated with or that are different to what isn't the 'norm'. This school was by far the hardest for me to substitute at, but it's mostly the age. They're approaching their teenage years and every child has some sort of a struggle trying to find themselves as a young adult. I don't think that this is any different at this age level at any other middle school during a child's formative years. We are living in a completely different environment than what us parents were used to when we were young. Social media does not help.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Smith Middle School

"School district is not the greatest. Not safe to walk alone. Lots of gun violence. High police presence. Only major grocery store is Kroger’s and it provides poor quality, non safe environment and service. "

"Watch their kids and do not leave them alone. It is not safe here . Parent should be at anytime with their children in this area or elsewhere . People here walk here under the drug effect and it is not safe to walk at night in this neighborhood. "

"I have lived in Grafton Hill for 9 years and have no problem recommending it. I love how close I am to the water where I often see kayakers and people fishing. I also love how walkable the area is as I no longer own a car (by choice) and I walk 5-6 days weekly, 4-6 miles per day for exercise. Only one mile from Downtown Dayton and I have always felt safe."

"You do hear frequent gunshots or fireworks. I have concerns allowing my children to ride his bike in the street because cars speed and do not seem to pay attention."

"I’ve lived here for almost 3 years and my husband and I love South Park. Our neighborhood is friendly, holds parties, activities and more all year round. Everyone decorated for the holidays and has get togethers. A good mix of young and old and a lot of different dogs we’ve gotten to meet walking ours in the park. "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 20 years. It is safe, friendly with a real sense of community. We have block parties in the summer and line our street with luminaries at Christmas. Everyone looks out for each other but not at the expense of privacy."
