5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOh boy. Where to begin. Learning here is decent. Education heavily relies on if your teacher gives enough mind to actually teach. Many here simply just... Dont. Some teachers have just given us a textbook and have us figure the rest out ourselves. The current set of subs are a gamble if you're going to be treated like a prison inmate or as if you dont exist. (If you manage to get a sub that actually is respectful enjoy your one a year chance to!). As a student with multiple disabilities however getting accommodations was a relatively easy process. However teachers often times forget about these accommodations which either can lead to me having to remind them (which is fine, people are bound to forget things) or just sit there and suffer. Subs usually are understanding with accommodations THOUGH I have witnessed a sub argue with special needs students and unfair targeting of them. Safety at this school is horrible. There are supposed procedures to ensure safety but they are ineffective. Fights happen so often here students are unphased when they do break out. Its nearly weekly. This school does NOTHING about bullying and lies to parents about taking action. Students have been given harsher punishment for defending themselves rather than starting fights. Overall, if you want to be treated like every action you take is a personal offense against staff and want crippling mental health, sign right up!Student Review8mo ago25 Reviews - WC Abney Elementary School

Our children have been well supported and excited about learning thanks to the incredible teachers there. The administration and staff truly have the children’s best interests at heart and it shows.Parent Review5mo ago22 Reviews - Check out schools near 229 Sweetgum Trce #81.

"There is a sidewalk so they can walk their dogs and not be in the road. You don’t ever see stray dogs running around so they don’t have to worry about another dog going after their dog. All of the neighbors are friendly."
