8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love everything about our neighborhood school. Teachers stick around and bring such great wealth of information to other teachers on how to run a classroom with success. Every teacher seems to be top notch that we have had over the years, and I hear similar from all my friends. When my daughter and son struggled a bit with reading, the school had programs to support them. (A before school group and a dedicated person to help 1 hr 4 times a week)! The teachers are very good at making sure progress is communicated, and any trouble areas can be fixed. The school celebrated 50 years last year and that says a lot about their dedication. Our principal handles behavior issues swiftly, and my daughter and son thrive at the school. Kindness is taught and the school has “caught being kind” on the blacktop every Monday morning. The community is great and people are very friendly. I wish the bathrooms and school premises could be updated, but that seems to not be something that can be changed with SJUSD budget problems. Also, I wish the older grades would get more recess time; 15 minutes for 4th grade seems very limited. But all in all, very happy with the education they are receiving.Parent Review1mo ago11 Reviews - Los Alamitos High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI live in Rossmoor. and I went to this high school and my neighbors too and The kids on my block that go there now say with theirs parents that it’s turning bad, because of lot of stuff like against ice protest And The kids had no choice to do with ice protest and They had Mexico flag not USA ones, and the high school has 10 stars but I believe it’s is not 10 out of 10 stars anymore because of what I see happening at the high school. And the protest was on social media with students and paid protesters!Other Review4mo ago6 Reviews - Sharon Christa Mcauliffe Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was bullied at this school in the mid-90s. I will never forget it. I burned both of my yearbooks and threw any photo related to that school. And parents, especially immigrants. Fight back. Go to City Hall. Write to Congress. I wish my parents pushed back. 0 stars.Other Review6mo ago23 Reviews - Check out schools near 9080-9080 Bloomfield St #257.

"Family and pet orientated neighborhood. People always say hi as they pass and pet owners are responsible by picking up after their dog and always keeping on the leash. This neighborhood is safe and well maintained. "

"I like the area for the school district ....HOWEVER, the crime is getting bad. Also, the rent and home prices are getting to be unattainable making it impossible for younger families to live here."
