NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe previous reviews were written before this year. This is the first year that Marshall is a turnaround school and they are making INCREDIBLE strides. Their attendance rate is up by nearly 25%, their hallways are clean and safe, the building has been re-habbed, the new staff is providing top notch instruction in the classrooms, and more students than ever are now involved in co-curricular activities and sports. I will not be surprised if test scores increase dramatically and if a ton more students go to college. Marshall is on its way back to its glory days of being one of the best schools in the nation because of terrific students, a committed staff, incredible alumni and parent support, and the hope that Waiting for Superman inspires. Go Marshall!Other Review15y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 308 S Springfield Ave #3N.

"Broken glass on the sidewalk, uneven sidewalks, vacant lots, stray cats roaming the area. Some homeowners do not shovel their part of the sidewalk"

"I just work in the area, I do not live in it. It is currently in a gentrification phase and varies tremendously block by block. "

"Dog walking is not a issue in this area. Most dog owners are frequently seen with their dogs. Almost everyone picks up after their dog. There's a few bad apples but not often."

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 6 years. It’s come a ways and still up and coming. Investors are swooping in on properties knowing the west loop genre is moving even further west. Can’t wait to see the neighborhood flourish. "

"The horrible prostitution, drugs and shootings makes this area inhabitable for families raising their children. It may be improving, up and coming however it may take an entire childhood to do so and these aren’t the memories I want for my babies. "

"Easy access with the train and bus in relatively close proximity! Area close to train is well lit and also a popular station in which tourist are attracted to the Conservatory! The bus lines are a few blocks south on Madison street. Buses have great run times without extended waiting. There are also bike lanes available for those who rely on this form of transportation."
