4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended this school for one day and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. As a parent of a nonverbal child with an IEP, communication, patience, and professionalism are extremely important to me. From the very first interaction, I felt unwelcome and dismissed.I was never properly introduced to my child’s teacher or shown the classroom environment. The teacher stated she was unaware my daughter would even be joining her class that day and had little information about her needs. Pickup communication on the first day was also handled in a way that felt rude and confrontational rather than understanding or supportive.I completely understand schools have schedules and policies, however first impressions matter, especially when working with children who require extra care and support. As a parent, I did not feel comfortable leaving my child in an environment where communication already felt negative on day one.I hope the school improves its parent communication and transition process for future families.Parent Review1mo ago4 Reviews - YCCS-Progressive Leadership Acad

"Here we are located near several major expressways, the area is great for commuting through the city and surrounding suburbs. There’s plenty of street parking the area is very car friendly. Additionally there are several public transit bus and train lines running through the area that go downtown and beyond. "

"The area is horrible. Do not move here if you have a family. Liquor store and chicken spot on every corner. My car has been broken in on numerous occasions. I live here only because I’m starting a business and this is the only place I can afford "

"Hate it, lived here for a year. There’s always a shooting around here. Always gang unit police around, always a crash, always gang bangers hanging out. Too many abandoned buildings. Too many questionable people everywhere "

"I moved to this area about 6 months ago, and I must say that it has been a great experience. The people are friendly... the neighborhood has many stores that are accessible by public transportation... Even the neighborhood market has a valet service for people who shop there. Nice... I love it here!!"
