7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageArmour is an excellent neighborhood school! As a kindergarten parent, I've been very impressed with my son's academic progress in a short period of time. The school environment is warm and empathetic, and my son's teacher is communicative and responsive to my questions and concerns. My kiddo clearly feels safe and comfortable at school and looks forward to the school day. The school's academic performance metrics have improved significantly under Principal Chuu's leadership, and she has secured significant resources to fund brand new STEM labs that are used by all grade levels. I'm confident that Armour will be a great place for my son to attend K-8 and am very pleased to have a top-shelf neighborhood school so close to our home.Parent Review3y ago2 Reviews - Tilden Career Communty Academy High School

"Great neighborhood with lots of new homes for young professional and families. Has a huge art scene thanks to Zhou brother and Bridgeport Art Center. Lots of trendy food options on Morgan and Halsted street. Great schools nearby and close enough to highways. Walk to fun books store and 5 different coffee shops!! "

"Bridgeport has changed a lot in the last 10 years, mainly for the better. It is more diverse, more inclusive, more trendy restaurants and shops (and I hope more still to come), but still has the neighborhood feel"

"It is a neighborhood that feels like a small town with a big community. Very friendly residents. My son attends a great elementary school here. The crime can get bad in some areas, which is the downside. But there are a lot of parks and grocery stores. Everything is in walking distance and the train and buses run right through the neighborhood. I like living here and have met a lot of friendly people who have lived here their whole lives. "

"it's very boring here. Rent can be expensive for what you get. Not much to do. it's like a commuting neighborhood. You only see people moving/walking to go to a destination. you hardly see people just leisurely do things in the neighborhood. A lot of cars and busy roads so if you live close to the road you won't like it It's a relatively safe neighborhood "
