10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have to teach myself most of the time, math program is nigh incomprehensible. Students have given up completely on grades and from what I have seen, more than half have turned to drug use to cope or for recreation. Administration is slow to respond to infrastructure and common quality of life issues. School focuses more on AP classes than the actual programs which most people take, most care, time, and money are poured into these programs rather than updating the base programs. In the past two days as of time of writing there has been a shooter threat and bomb threat. School has horrible counseling with a "stay positive" attitude towards mental health and bullying. Students are disrespectful not only to teachers, but to each other as a strict social hierarchy and grouping is subtlety enforced. 504 plans are good however.Student Review2mo ago13 Reviews - Ross (Faye) Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the second time my son has reported the presence of a probable firearm at Faye Ross. It's alarming and I believe action must be taken to ensure the safety of the students and staff on a daily basis. It's crucial that our schools remain secure environments where students can learn and grow without fear. This is unacceptable.Parent Review2y ago22 Reviews - John F. Kennedy Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is assigned school to my address. When I saw 7/10 on GreatSchools, I was worried if I am sending my kid to a mediocre school. But this school is far superior than what you can imagine. The teachers are amazing, sharp, focussed and very detailed. they know each kid very well and know their strengths and weaknesses. Highly recommend this school to everyone and making my effort to attract more school of choice applications to my child's school :)Parent Review3y ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 11328-11328 Felson St.

"There is easy access to many major freeways (Cerritos was almost named Freeway City). The surface streets are fairly well maintained, so commute time is pretty short and safe. Most traffic is around peak times, such as school drop off and pick up, or mornings and typical rush hour. Traffic is closer to the freeway, but lots of side streets to take with less traffic. "

"I have some really neighborly and friendly neighbors and then I have neighbors that speak other languages and are from different cultures so it’s hard for them to communicate and/or feel comfortable to do so, but they’re still very nice. It’s very diverse. The neighborhood is very BIG on looking out for the neighborhood. Our parks and recreation programs have LOTS for everyone!!"
