About this House

Spacious 2 bedroom in Country Club heat and hot water included.

A full first floor of a private house, roughly 1,000 square feet, in one of the quieter pockets of the east Bronx. $3,000 a month, with heat and hot water included.

The layout is open and genuinely generous. Hardwood floors run throughout, and the living and dining areas flow into each other with a railing dividing the levels and a chandelier over the dining space. The kitchen has been renovated white cabinets, dark stone counters, a tile backsplash, gas range and full-size stainless refrigerator, with a window over the sink. The bathroom is updated, with a glass-enclosed tub and grey tile.

Both bedrooms are a good size with their own windows and closets. Freshly kept and move-in ready.

Country Club sits between Pelham Bay and Throggs Neck low-rise, residential, and quiet. Shops, restaurants and everyday errands are walkable along Westchester and Crosby Avenues, and Pelham Bay Park is minutes away, the biggest park in the city with Orchard Beach, two golf courses and miles of trails.

Getting around: the 6 train serves the neighborhood at Westchester Square and Middletown Road, and express buses run into Midtown. By car you're right by Bruckner Boulevard, the Hutchinson River Parkway and I-95, with the Throgs Neck and Whitestone Bridges close for Queens and Long Island.

Street parking is available on the block. No smoking, no pets.

Available September 15.

"The neighborhood has some nice upside. However, lately there is a lot of traffic in and out of the neighborhood many people like to play their music loud at night especially during the week I have called 311 and they are pretty good in responding."
  • John Oliveri
"Neighbor hood is changing for the worse. Too many rentals, cars racing around, the park is terrible all summer "

  • Trulia User
"Halloween is really nice and friendly here as well as Pelham Bay Park. Great place to walk dogs and take kids to the park. "
  • Trulia User
"Horrible driving conditions. Just Disgusting. Not safe anymore, too many animals. Can’t have nice things in this neighborhood. There’s not enough respect. "
  • Trulia User
"I've lived in this area for 18 years. neighbors have come and go but we all maintain the front of our houses, keeps eachothers sidewalk cleaned. flowers, water fountains and beautiful trees are here that make you feel like your not in the Bronx. Owners walking their dogs in the morning, we all smile and say good morning and the same with the evening walks. "
  • Pmendolia51
"I have lived in the house in question. Designed and built by my dad. Moved in at 5 years old I lived there to take care of my mom after having lived. elsewhere for 20 years. I could not have lived in a better neighborhood. "

  • St3phx911
"It’s one of the Bronx’s rarest hidden gems.. neighbors are all kind to each other, it’s a great place to raise kids and grow old! My only complaint is that Evers Marina attracts a lot of unwanted attention to this area and a lot of accidents and deaths have resulted from the Marina goers. "
  • Kattyr87
"My commute is great. The express bus is walking distance and the train can be accessed by taking the local bus "
  • Vg42414

"It's nice but there is no sense of community here and the public school system is nothing to rave about. "
