8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagecurrently a sophomore at this school with a 3.8 GPA. most teachers are good at what they do, and some even make it fun and have a good relationship with students, however this year there is a new principal and with a new principal comes new policies. 2 tardies and you get a lunch detention, dress code is very strict this year, no crop tops, spaghetti straps, back, or shoulders, no phones are allowed at all this year, not even for emergencies. their reasoning for this? If a parent has a question for a student, they can wait, and if they cant, they can call the office to get in contact with he student. what happens when a girl is on her period and they bleed through their pants and need their parent to pick them up? The student cant do anything about it. As a student who speaks to others, I can firmly say that these new policies are outrageous. The tardy policy is absurd, people get lost in the halls and the crowds, its a big school with a lot of people, things happen. the new dress code is honestly just student sexualization. they say its to get you ready for a job because every (most) job has a dress code that you need to follow, but obviously people will follow that, its a formal job, school, contrary to what many adults will say, is not. school is not a job, its what prepares us with he knowledge for a job, and I'd like to really stress KNOWLEDGE, because its not to teach us life lessons, otherwise we'd learn how to pay taxes, vote, and so on. being able to see someone's bra strap does not affect anyone's ability to learn, and if it does, that's their problem, not the person wearing the clothes, because the vast majority of people really don't care what you wear. now although many teachers here are pretty good teachers, and good people too, some are not. about halfway through my freshman year my teacher (not going to name names here although i probably should) pulled out about 5 girls for wearing spaghetti straps and threatens to email their parents and get them in trouble. she also often makes comments toward a pair of female students about their wardrobe choices, saying things like "do you girls own anything that isnt a crop top?" which in mine, and others opinions, is a very inappropriate thing for a teacher to be saying to anyone, let alone students, however during VSCO day (a spirit day) I, a male student, went all out for it, hair up in a tiny ponytail, crop top, short shorts, etc. and i walk into class and she says "I admire your bravery".Student Review3y ago5 Reviews - Post Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a truly excellent school. Having personally attended schools in a large city, I think other reviewers may have a distorted idea of what happens at your average large city schools on a daily basis. I have one child currently attending and another to join soon. The small town atmosphere, community involvement and the leadership of the school are most appealing to me.Parent Review11y ago3 Reviews - Eagle Creek Elementary School

"The huge amount of children. The fact that old town does lots of community events. Lots of dog owners and active people. I can walk to 3 different parks from my home- one of which is on the river and has a fenced dog park. It’s a great spot. Centennial trail is one of my favorites to take down to the water front park and back with my doggos. "

"I live in Arlington and do not like all the drugs here. It is like living in Woodstock. There is a no leash dog park on 152nd street. You may want to wear boots in the rainy season."

"The Farmers Market every Saturday from 10-2pm is so fun and a great way to support local businesses. Arlington Hardware in old town is the one stop shop for everything you need. The Co-Op Supply is pet friendly and has everything you need for your pets or live stock. Aside from that, if your a social butterfly like myself, the White Horse Salon in town is a blast!! I love to take my dogs here and play pool with friends. The best thing about this town is the sense of community. I know the owners to almost every business and regularly make new friends who are also local or new to the area. There is nothing like running into great people you know everywhere you go. I love it. "There are little to no community events in this area. The have been several reports of stolen packages, the parking is very bad if you have a second car. Several of my neighbors have had their gas cipher from their cars."

"Close to everything, but far enough from town that you don’t feel like you live in the city area. A lot of parks and lakes are close by. Great schools district"

"A short drive to most everywhere. Restaurants, freeway entrance, schools. Traffic near the airport has gotten thicker with all the residences being built. Once they widen the road, it’ll be a lot better."

"People are always out walking their dogs, however the yards in this area tend to get small so if you have a bigger dog find a nearby park or runner. The neighbors don’t like visits from the neighboring dogs if they decide to explore."

"Nice mix of modern convenience, small town feel, and neighborhood feel. It is super nice to be able to walk your kids to school and dance class as well as running into or meeting up with people you know around town. "

"My neighborhood is dog friendly depending on the breed of dog if your a pit bull owner or a or any other breed labeled as a more aggressive or dangerous breed of dog my neighborhood wouldn’t be so welcoming to them! Which is bs!"
