3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUsed to be a good school, then the district shut down schools. over crowded robinson and this school and its nothing but issues .., they care more about discipline and taking away activities for talking .. hell if you talk to loud they start taking away lunch time minutes , when they only get 15 min to eat anyway .. There is a reason every single surrounding district has no room ... people are taking their kids out of this entire trash district . the entire board needs an overhaul , and half the executive staff at these schools.. dont get me wrong, some great teachers and staff , but the ones in charge , no.. just .. no its a joke .Parent Review11mo ago6 Reviews - Memorial High School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOkay first of all in my experience with the school long time ago back in like 2009 and 10 oh yeah it was good but now it's like it's gotten to go downhill like if you haven't looked at the math experience and social experience on top of that the English there's nothing my kids go to school and they're not really wanting to go to school because one is there's not enough experiments and there's not even Hands-On activities like for math all kids are supposed to be differently because all kids are not the same so honestly it's advising a marine needs to step it up a little bit and end up trying to incorporate math hands on where these children are excited to go to school as of right now these kids do not want to go to school here and for just a first of all with that you know the dismissal and suspension and all that stuff that's a joke there is no really suspension there there's no discipline really there I can tell you that one right now because like yeah my kid was getting bullied for quite some time now you know when my middle child was going there he got bullied in the 4K he got injured no one ended up tell me what happened still to this day no no apparently there's cameras there yes but when it come to discipline there is a letter and it is not because of where the kids live the poverty zoning and all this and that you know what I don't care it don't matter where that child is coming from all that matters is education when people bring up about oh is the area no I can tell you right now no it's not there's only one 4K class which honestly no surprise there is no ESL English Second Language there at all because they claim that the school is too tiny then why in the world would you bring back the 4th and 5th common sense but no I think it's time that Meryl steps it up there are no pictures really of anything artwork really barely ever there's no artwork on the walls yes there's certain pictures of people but what about the kids artwork show that off you don't see that there back in the day it was awesome there now that's lacking too much the reason why I would not recommend it is because they're lacking too much no discipline no art on the wall from the children like since it's gone downhill what's the point until they step it up and the school district needs to step it up too because honestly it's not only the school it is a school district itself stop with the Chromebooks pen and paper and pencil is all you guys needParent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Beloit Virtual School

"Beloit Township is not same as City of Beloit. The police and sheriff are doing their jobs daily. City of Beloit has some residential areas where more crime but I think it is safe for kids. The school system is well established. "

"About 15-20 min to Janesville which is convenient buses to Janesville only run certain hours in the morning and in the early afternoon it’s about an hr drive to Chicago suburbs "

"High crime rate and just getting worse. Nothing for kids to do but the big pool. The schools do try to help the kids. But too many parents won’t help and support our teachers. It’s always someone else’s fault. Beloit has great parks. Just too many idiots that want to bring drugs and violence into it "

"Betroit (not a misspell, trust me) has been “home” for roughly 30 years...run away...run far away. WI is a boring place to be, only benefit of living here is it’s close to Chicago. "

"It has public transportation but I need a car to get around. Everything is just spread out stuff on one side and that makes it difficult to just walk around. "

"The dog's are well behaved, with responsible owner's. Service animals need more legal awareness though in the area amongst the renters and rentees."

"Be careful letting your kids go out alone. There are occasional incidents of shootings and drug deals occurring in a lot of the neighborhoods."

"There are plenty drug and alcohol related activities at all hours of the day. Vehicles frequently drive fast and recklessly throughout the city. At all times there is a good chance of encountering panhandlers outside stores and at intersections. "

"The area has changed but a lot of family and friends are still here. There are a number of people who take pride in their homes and yards. With in shopping stores and grocery shops. Quick access to highways and three schools nearby. "
