LTE is a great school. Yeah it has a title 1 school, but that doesn't mean it's a bad. This school faces challenges no other elementary school in Lake Travis faces, so it's not fair to compare. Both of my children attend LTE and love it. In a brief lapse in judgement my wife and I transfered my daughter to another LTISD elementary school because we bought into the rumors. Boy, was that a mistake. She was only at the other school for 9 weeks and in that time her progress test scores went from advanced to below grade level and she came home crying all the time because of the unwelcoming students at that school. Now that she is back at LTE, she is happy and testing above grade level again. We know other parents with similar stories. The teachers work hard and have been super supportive of both my children. The new admin has been making a lot of positive changes to better support thier struggling students.

too many rules new principal doing too much let us live a little i get it’s school but it’s like a prison

I have an eighth grader at HBMS and she is on a 504 plan and when she reaches out for help the teachers do nothing. I’ve reached out to teachers numerous times the last two years and I do not get any response back. Unless your child is right in the middle. I feel the teachers don’t care
