"It is a farming community and very diverse. Recently the schooling has deteriorated and jobs are everywhere but no one wants to work. Ever since Covid"
  • Candy K.
"It is pet friendly. Lots of dog and cat owners. Even a small stable with a horse and some exotic birds!"
  • Maria C.
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and it’s the nicest neighborhood in Arcadia everyone minds their own business and we all wave at each other when where passing on the road"
  • Jerome L.

  • Trina B.
"I have always loved the Peace RIVER. It has been a part our family for many years. My husband and 1 of my three children was born at Desoto Memorial Hospital. Arcadia is also a big part of my husbands heritage."
  • Mirinda K. W.
"lived here for 30 years have always felt safe. neighbors are quiet. we all look out for each others homes when someone goes out of town. "
  • Esmee c.
"I’ve lived here for almost a year now and the neighbors are nice. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and calm."

"Bordering Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, Lake Suzy is actually in Desoto County, which means lower taxes. Also, no flood insurance is required, due to higher elevation. Homes are beautifully maintained and it is close to everything, including beaches. The Arcadia zip code is misleading, because it a half hour away from Arcadia. It borders Punta Gorda's Deep Creek area, North Port and Port Charlotte. Since it is geographically midway between Fort Myers & Sarasota, a quick zip on I75 will get you to either city. "
  • stroke357bruce
"very run down area. homes with historic values could be saved but, surrounding homes have had no maintenance. should be condemned. not looking for investment or any area that investers are owning, would rebuild to live in area. just not with this blight allowed. "
  • Kamcamara
"I have lived here for the past 7 years and work in the area as a teacher at Atwater El. Families are wonderful and opportunities are plentiful for children. Friendly, close to commerce and cultural events. A great place to retire or raise a family!"
