10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo a parent, Temple City High school is a really good school. Its academics are good, its graduation rate is high, and there are many clubs and extracurricularsthat are available to your student. However to a student, it’s torture. The toxic school culture that has cultivated here makes a student depressed. The teachers will “hammer down the nail that sticks out”. Even the students will isolate you if you are any bit different to them, and the students might be the worst part of this school. They cheat on tests, and if you’re honest about taking tests they make fun of you for your slightly lower grade. It’s honestly torture for some students, such as myself. Even the administrators don’t care about your mental wellbeing, they just want the schools image to be good, as such it is. Even the teachers, some care about your health, some don’t. Some teachers are so harsh and rude (mostly the young teachers), and it’s very hurtful to a child going through all the stress they have to with their work. I can with confidence say that as a student here, I am extremely unhappy. However if you don’t care about mental or physical wellbeing, I can recommend this school for you or your child. If you do care, please do not attend this school. It is extremely toxic.Student Review7mo ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 940 W Duarte Rd #16.

"Schools in the area are great! The high school has excellent sports programs especially baseball. The football field is always busy with activities or even just for daily exercise."

"Arcadia is not the city it used to be. I have lived here over 40 years. If I were younger I would live elsewhere. "

"All dog owners in my community are respectful and pick up after their pets. Typically all their pets are friendly dogs. Safe around children and/or dog owner have trained them well. "

"Best of the Best! Hands down! Wife grew up here. We both have lived and worked in Arcadia for years. Children graduated from Arcadia High. We value our community it is becoming an expensive location to purchase a family home. It's upsetting to see these huge lots become nothing but ADU investments taking away the fundamental essence of family traditional home living. It's crazy. And if you were to see the bigger picture in the near future, it be no different than apartment living @ a more affordable rate. That's my take from Arcadia. Meanwhile we love it yet the future is uncertain. "

"The schools are over crowded and many of them need a lot of them need repairs. There is no hot running water at the high school for students to wash their hands and the high school bathrooms are always dirty, "

"Loads of traffic that go through traveling between 10 and 210 freeways. Had a car flip in front of my house and then another car crashed into front lawn next door within the same month this year. Would not recommend for walking but driving can also be a hassle because streets are engineered awkwardly. Lots of streets with merging in weird places. Last, id say meth has gotten to be a problem here with the homeless but unfortunately I imagine that is true in many areas."

"This place look's ok but rent is high. If your looking to rent this place I would wait when they lower the rent. Really high rent prices people aren't going to rent. And landlords at the end dont want their properties just sitting there. So their gonna have to lower the price. "

"Dog owners: many dog lovers in my neighborhood. I think we all keep an eye for our animals. I also think Landlords should not start asking for dog rent when we are trying to improve about adopting pets. "
