7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageawful the classrooms are bland and boring the teachers are rude and ignorant the staff are rude and impolite, don't try out for anything if your not popular or rich , been here since kindergarten and have hated every second of it this school is awful has millions yet cant afford decent WiFi, or safety ,makes us pay $10 for a I.D and if you don't pay it your forced to stay after school on a Tuesday and if you don't your forced to come in on a Saturday from 8 am -1 pm or a ISS where your alone in a room all day by yourselfStudent Review1y ago4 Reviews - Wylie West Junior High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would 100% recommend this school, and its district, 5th - 8th grade have been one of the best years of my life! No bullying, fun teachers, fun dress up days, good workouts, and just a really good school over all!Student Review3y ago3 Reviews - Wylie Intermediate School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish any parent who has a child with and IEP because Wylie did things the way they see fit without regards to what their IEP says. We recently had a situation where my son was falling asleep in class for two months before anyone in the entire school informed me of this situation and then after I found out one of his 5th grade teacher had the nerve to tell me that it was getting out of hand. Mind you my son had just switched allergy medication that may have been causing the drowsiness and had his teacher informed me, the problem when it initially happened it could have been solved right away. Total fail on Wylie's part. I could really go on forever about our personal experience that's how aweful the school is.Parent Review8y ago4 Reviews - Early Childhood Center

"We have lived here for 16 months and we have wonderful neighbors. I do know the majority of the homes are inhabited by seniors, I have only seen a couple homes with children. We love the quiet. I would love sidewalks "

"Dogs are loved and cared for as well as watched out for if they get out. Lots of dog-walkers! Neighbor kids to watch your dogs while out of town. Overall, quiet though as owners are respectful of barking and loud/noisy dogs not creating extra noise."

"there are many families and also retired people living here. We are on a golf course so it is really nice to be able to go feed the ducks or play a round of golf or walk the area with the pets and kid. The bus stops normally right in front of each house also so that makes it more safe. "

"None. There are no community events in this neighborhood. This isn’t a “bad” neighborhood, however we are located close to Salvation Army. We have many many homeless and/or sketchy people walking up and down our street all the time, even up and down the alley behind houses. It definitely does not make the neighborhood feel safe. Even with a new Fire Station down the street, it does not feel like it’s swayed the street walking people at all. "

"Beautiful spring and summer yards. Large, beautiful trees that are colorful in the fall. Family friendly trick-or-treating on Halloween. Our neighborhood is one of the best kept secrets in Abilene! AHS athletes run through to safely get in outdoor jogging exercise during the school day. Families safely ride bikes and walk most evenings. Large, well-kept homes for a great price!"
