4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying is insane! Staff does nothing and no matter how many times it’s brought up it gets brushed under the rug! And they only care about test scores. Teacher Tamara Philips is THE WORST MATH TEACHER I have ever stumbled on! If your child struggles with math already, avoid her as their teacher because she will not give help when it’s asked for and says”refer back to notes” as if that will teach a child! Simply put she doesn’t teach! She’s a robot spewing information and nothing more! She also posts inappropriate content on her Facebook that demeans students and parents! Very unprofessional. If your child is not good at testing but has straight A’s they still place them based solely on the test scores which in most cases just dumbs down the student and they learn nothing all year only because they don’t do well on tests! 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers do not communicate with the parents. I realize a lot of parents do not get involved but some of us do care and want to be involved. My grandchildren go to this school and theirs no control of students bullying and misbehaving. My grandchildren get pushed around, her lunch takin from her and she’s in been smacked by another child for not giving them her food. School bus line gets out of control with a few students who like to push kids down and bully them. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCons: This school is not for someone looking for any "easy out" of the traditional brick and mortar school. The coursework is very time consuming. Many typical daily assignments in the virtual school would be broken down and completed as multiple assignments over weeks at a traditional school. The virtual school also expects the student to have a firm handle on all basic computer programs; including Powerpoint presentations, Excel, Word processing, emailing, submitting audio files, digital files, etc. For someone just starting out, the time it takes to learn the programs and processes of submitting work via the internet has to be accounted for. This is my son's first year at the school and he has learned both subject material and computing skills. Pros: The system keeps parents aware of what is going on with the student and in a very timely manner. All teachers are quick to respond, and test & assignments are graded and recorded within hours (sometimes minutes) of submittal. - The curriculum is engaging and thorough. - Classwork is extremely portable and accessible at anytime.Parent Review10y ago - Santa Rosa Online Virtual Instruction Program

"Milton is a quaint small town located on a scenic River. there are several small communities between Milton and Pensacola. Milton, Pace, 5 points, are pretty safe areas with good schools. Each community has its own personality. Almost all of them are Military friendly. "

"Dogs aren't roaming the neighborhood. There is a leash law. The yards are an acre each and there is plenty of room for dogs to play. Great neighborhood to walk your dogs."

"my neighborhood has great access to a major highway which is well-constructed and mail well-maintained also very well patrolled by state troopers. road ranger availability is good if you should have a problem. the only negative is that if there is a wreck time to clear the road seems extended and traffic backs up for miles and miles since exits are so far apart. "

"The schools are great, and the neighbors lookout for each other in Sundial Estates/Windsor Villas. The Bagdad post office is the friendliest, most helpful post office in the county. The are building a really nice park in phases at the Bagdad mill site (with separate boat and kayak launches, and a dock for fishing). Bagdad has the lowest taxes. "

"We have a county Fair and tribal powwows, etc for family fun. Also, the City of Milton is only 3 minutes from my home and they have a lot of activities in the city, like gallery nights and Bands on Blackwater (the name of the local river)."

"I live in historic Downtown Milton and it’s a perfect little small town with everything in walking distance. Friendly community and loads of festivals, boardwalk with the Blackwater river, Imogene Theater with musicians, shows, comedians. Several popular restaurants, Blackwater Heritage Trail runs adjacent to my back yard and is about 9 miles long. Too many things to list. "
