5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWow! My student was physically hurt by Student and administration gave him a day of ISS. In retaliation a friend of the Bully physically assaulted my son the following day punches and all and the principal was hesitant to call police. I had to take it into my own hands to call police. Police didn’t do anything because my son was not bleeding ect and student is allowed to continue being in same classrooms ect! Minimal was done here! 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a current college student, I have come to appreciate the education I got at CD. Nearly everyone in my classes now struggles with things like basic computer programming with excel, which is something I learned how to do in 6th grade. Sure, everyone thinks that they’re high school is bad or a nuisance when they’re there, but it’s clear to see the difference between the education I got compared to others. CD also has some very well known athletic programs, which some people may assume means we only focused on sports, but I can guarantee that nearly all of the athletes I was in classes with made classes a priority as well. I loved just about all of my teachers and I truly feel like they were passionate about teaching. I know I don’t speak for everyone, but I believe that CD has a great academic curriculum that prepares students to succeed in their future education and/or career.Other Review5mo ago - West Hanover El School

"Uptown, Harrisburg is a diamond in the rough, that is going thru a current transition. Miton Hershey us opening a new school in the Uptown neighborhood. PA Archives and Federal Courthouse and now been added and a slew of great local grub, that you can eat and stroll by the Susquehanna River. Properties for sale are scarce, but they are a great entry price that you can have room to renovate to your liking. People are generally respectful and the crime(if any) is usually personal, respectively. "

"Downtown Harrisburg is easy to get to which has events, parades, and all year round fun. It’s enjoyable to walk to and along the Susquehanna River front and Italian Lake. It’s also easy to go to the West Shore or the East Shore for many options for shopping, grocery, and entertainment. "

"I love the diversity. Within less than a mile we have a thriving Catholic Church, synagogue, and mosque. There is unique and interesting ethnic grocery stores, and restaurants. There is also ample outdoor spaces with the green belt, Italian lake, wildwood park and the river walks all accessible. Community is highly commutable with 83/81/283 and the turnpike close by you are within 3 hours or so of NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, D.C., and Pittsburg! "
