My daughter has been going to Oak Ridge Elementary for 2 years PRE K and KINDERGARTEN she learned so much shes also speaking properly and in my opinion its the best school. Unfortunately i moved out of the school zone and i have to look somewhere else. However, her teachers are the best ( Mrs. Bartlett Pre k and Mrs. Roy kindergarten)

This school is de definition of them not caring about the students teaching and more about how they are as them getting into trouble, they tried to be “strict” but that doesn’t help the fact that they have new teachers that don’t know what are doing and more of putting work as “teaching” the woodlands compare to this doesn’t compare if I had to let my kid graduate in this school I wouldn’t.

I am sad to write a review such as this, but it needs to be said. I am highly disappointed in this school, my student that goes here is half Korean and half White. It is sad the discrimination that he has faced at this school and the lack of responsibility taken by the school. Multiple times students have called him a dog-eater, a ching-chong, and other discriminatory terms. After facing this inappropriate behavior, he did as any student would have done- reported it to his teacher. Any student should feel as if they can go to their teacher if they have any issues and not be dismissed. But unfortunately, this was not the case. After the teacher was informed, she didn't do anything on her part, she didn't report it to the counselor or any of the administrative staff. The kids faced no consequences for their actions and therefore, the harassment continued. And even despite reporting it multiple times to his teacher, she still did nothing. It got to the point where he felt as if he had no other option but to take care of it himself, while we do not condone him pushing the bully down to the ground, we feel as if this could've been avoided if the teacher had done her part. He also is supposed to receive accommodations on his assessments, but on his STAAR test, he received NONE of his accommodations. We have already reported both of these instances to the school, but I am still highly disappointed in this school.

As a parent this school has been great. Our son loves the band program. Communication is great. We get weekly email updates.
