5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf there was less than Zero for a score that would be my choice for this horrible school. It's administrative staff has a more incline to lgbtq and bullies. Special education is at the bottom of the totem pole it seems that bullying that assist with the students whether in class or in a unit is not important. If these children are being victims of bullies whether in passing. cafeteria, PE or in the classroom, they don't get addressed as same bullying continues. The staff that assists the students are stretched out meaning if a staff member has to leave the specialized unit for any reason, a substitute who is not capable of doing anything or trained if something happens in the unit and doesn't care or looks the other way. The victim either for acting out verbally or defending one self will get punished. The bully continues in the school and the victim is cornered to either act out, defend one self or give in and take on peer students. This is hopeless which I think the state should get involved and fire all staff and bring in majority male African American administration to make drastic changes on staff and repercussions on what bullys do and apply due punishment.Teacher Review5mo ago - O'connor High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLet me start off with I am a huge supporter of public education, our teachers and give a lot of second, third, fourth chances. Texas schools are a 3rd world country so if you're up north or east, stay.O'Connor administration is weak, biased, and it's not pro-student, at all. They are pro-funding and won't deal with poor teachers. The chemistry classes have 1 classroom with natural gas for bunson burners and 1 classroom with a vent hood that works. 800+ students....1 chemistry class with functional equipment. The teachers don't have paper to print assignments. The school's mandatory laptop computers have NO YOUTUBE CONTROLS. My kid watched anime for 5 hours a day. I'm not kidding, we check his history. The teachers pass kids just to get rid of them. If a parent argues, get an A. The good teachers are leaving. This is our third kid at OHS and we cannot wait to be through.Test score are Pathetic. Check yourself. The Administrators are apathetic and just want parents to go away. The teachers hate their jobs and I would to if I worked there. We have donated hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars and the school just keeps deteriorating.Parent Review3mo ago - Nichols Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended this school 2013-2015 for her Kindergarten and 1st grade years. Her teachers were through the roof amazing. Always above and beyond to ensure she was challenged at her academic level and not just that of the standard class level. Both teachers were extremely communicative as well. The administrative staff were not friendly. The front office staff were off-standish and rude. The principal at the time was not effective. She had a serious bullying issue, but it was not addressed. One of the children most notorious for bullying at the school was a teacher's child and because of this, the child was allowed to continue to harm others and was not removed from the classroom or school. Very scary situation. But again, the teachers in general were what made this school great. PTA is also very active.Other Review7y ago - Check out schools near 9802 Alisa Brooke.

"I love the Roosevelt neighborhood for its vibrant atmosphere and undeniable sense of safety. The tree-lined streets and well-maintained sidewalks create a welcoming environment, making it a favorite spot for residents and visitors alike. One of the charming aspects that draw me to this neighborhood is the sight of numerous people leisurely walking their dogs. The safety of Roosevelt is evident in the close-knit community where neighbors look out for one another. The low crime rates and well-lit streets contribute to an overall feeling of security. Whether it's strolling through the local parks or enjoying a cup of coffee at a nearby café, there's a prevailing sense of ease that permeates the area. The presence of people walking their dogs adds a delightful touch to daily life in Roosevelt. It's a testament to the neighborhood's pet-friendly nature and the shared joy of pet ownership. Dogs of all shapes and sizes can be seen enjoying the green spaces, fostering a sense of camaraderie among dog owners. In conclusion, my love for Roosevelt is deeply rooted in the combination o"

"As San Antonio continues to grow, the Inner Loop 410 area is becoming the diamond of the city. The area has prime museums, parks, farmer markets, shopping, and a small town feel. Admittedly, Ridgeview is a transitioning neighborhood that offers great value, most importantly for families is that it’s a part of the North East School District and a small pocket of homes are located in the highly sought after Alamo Heights School District."
