Mrs Wayment the school principal is what makes this school. She has compassion and empathy. She demonstrates a kindness for all. She is a bridge for the Special education that she goes above and beyond for every child's inclusion. My youngest is in the North shore collaborative special education class. While there is a hardship of small town having teachers for this program and paraprofessionals. She is always there making sure we are safe and have support we need. My child adores her . My child is nonverbal and she looks to Mrs Wayment like a best friend the excitement and joy in my child's face greeting Mrs Wayment says it all. I can always reach out and feel validated when communicating with her. The North shore collaborative could take examples from Mrs Wayment as she steps up and leaves no child behind. I am sad we are leaving next fall and wish we could take Mrs Wayment with us. My advice to parents get involved and get to know Mrs Wayment

Staff: the staff here are not that good there are some teachers here that just want to leave they do not want to be there they won’t teach the students well and are not doing good that lots of the students are behind in work.Safety: the safety at this school is not good students are always in fights here and the principal doesn’t do nothing about it. The best he will do to control the students is yell and that’s it.Education: lots of students in the school are below average in grades and work. Some of the teachers are no help with the work.

I am so incredibly happy with the education my two children received at Upper Lake High School! The school provides an impressive range of academics, from College Prep and college classes to excellent CTE programs. My kids had completely different pathways in mind for their futures, yet both graduated with a well-rounded education and felt perfectly prepared. The teachers truly go above and beyond to get to know their students personally, constantly pushing them to achieve high levels of success in academics and extracurriculars alike.
