"I visit this area frequently, and although it is growing, there is still the idyllic, country life and slow pace that makes it such a delightful experience. There are several restaurants in the area that serve delicious food and drink, but otherwise, there's not a huge nightlife or entertainment element in this area. Obviously, the sea air and the beach life is here in abundance. The area's topography is flat, of course, but very lush and beautiful, and the climate is appealing; a bit humid in summer, but usually very nice over all. It seems to be safe from the ravages of cyclonic storms (hurricanes) that do make it to the east coast; there doesn't appear to have ever been a devastating storm for the Eastern Shore area in recent memory with the exception possibly of Hurricane Sandy, which did not do too much harm to Franktown. This is a nearly ideal place in which to live or retire. It is an unknown secret, and a beautiful place in which to live! There are some large-lot real-estate properties that would be very enticing, capturing the natural solitude and beauty of this wonderful place. By all means, visit this area if you can, and escape from the "rat race" in a slow-paced natural habitat for humans. "
