5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhitko has a long history of truly great teachers, great arts, and sports that generally don’t do well…but in the last few years, amazing teachers have left for greener pastures, students report more bullying that isn’t handled, and parents, teachers, and students are increasingly frustrated. The school board and superintendent remain positive and ignore public opinion and concerns until things blow up on social media. A small school that once prized its “family feel” has quickly become like so many other public schools—all about the funding, and not about the kids.
