About this House

This is a cozy home. It was remodeled about 2 years ago with a new kitchen, floors and carpet, updated bathrooms, new Hardiplank siding and paint interior and exterior. The downstairs floors are hard laminate with a wood grain pattern that can endure the roughest of family styles. The sunroom has bamboo flooring and the upstairs has plush carpet. The kitchen has enough cabinets and countertop space for the chef inside you. The pantry is sizable and deep. This kitchen is a central piece to the comfort of this home. Plenty of natural lighting with Anderson windows which were installed just over two years ago. The sunroom has a ceiling fan and two sky light, a vaulted ceiling and a wall of windows making it a great place for a hobby room, exercise room, or rest and relaxation room and yoga. The fireplace is a classic as it warms the downstairs up significantly in the winter months and provides incredible ambiance. Next to the kitchen is the half bath for guests. Upstairs are three bedrooms. The master boast two large closets and a master bath with plenty of shelving and space. The other two rooms both have large closets as well and share the other full bath. The laundry, with relatively new appliances, reside in the upstairs hall space. There is a small front patio over looking the terrace garden beds. This is a great place for a young family as the neighborhood is family and pet friendly with plenty of play grounds and access to nature. There is storage room at the front of the house with two large shelves and a tool board for the organized mind. The sunroom's two skylights have evidence of past water damage, but they are currently sealed water tight are in great working condition. The location of this home is one of its brightest spots. It's minutes from everywhere in Charlottesville. It's 5 mins from CHS and the 250 beltway. It's about 8 minutes from Albemarle and the northern section of 29 towards Lowes heading out of town towards the airport. It's across the street from Pen Park where you can play golf, tennis, volley ball and hike or bike the wooded trails to the Rivanna River. The community has its own pool, basketball and tennis court. Additionally there are trails behind the community through the woods along the stream that join to the John Warner Park trails and the Rivanna Trails. The community is very safe, family and pet friendly.

"Albemarle county is a great school district."
  • MeRita Page
"People walk their dogs here all the time. It’s a nice quiet, friendly neighborhood. No issues after dark. The people in this neighborhood speak and acknowledge you."
  • Bianca Geronimo
"Not too bad. Sometimes the main roads get backed up because of the lights, but it’s not as bad as a big city"
  • Amy Glover
"Overall, just like the closeness of everything. It’s got lots of stores and unique experiences to have at local parks and even has a skate park at one park. The vibe is pretty good most of the time here. "
  • Cara Pierce
"There are a lot of children and families in the neighborhood but there are also homeless individuals and stray dogs. "
  • Amy Glover
"My commute is short but sometimes has lots of traffic during certain times of the day. Overall, I do not have many issues with getting to and from work. "
  • Angel Morris
"Street gatherings are the best. Also love community activities at the community pool, food trucks, social media connections and nature trail."
  • Corey Day
"This city could do some work. The streets are too narrow. Highway 29 is too chaotic and out of place. Charlottesville is too small to have a 8 lane road"
  • Lchou
"Close to U V A, downtown, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and everything C’ville but surrounded by nature. We have the best of both worlds! I can not believe how many good supermarkets we have in the area. There are so many nature trails for walking and hiking. "
  • Trulia User
"Nothing unless you want to count the crime!!! The Spark is a terrible place to live! Gone through countless managers with everyone promising to make a change and the only thing that changes is the staff. Nothing gets fixed and the current office manager is rude. There is a serious rodent issue that everybody ignores and continually sends the insect companies to spray just so they can say they are doing something. Can’t wait to leave!!!"
  • Trulia User
