I was a student at the middle school from fall 2012 to spring 2015, now being a senior. When I was down there, the staff were amazing; however, a lot of the fundamental issues with peer pressure and bullying weren't dealt with diligently; I remember hearing about a lot of parents enrolling out because of that. The students practically had the stereotypical middle school mindset, and during middle school, everyone changes, so you're bound to but heads, but I've maintained amazing friends to this day. The only times I remember being picked on were my own fault. All in all, the school has changed so much in the past four years with the re-addition of the fifth grade, course reconfiguration, and a nascent marketing device to draw more families in. I had some of the best teachers going through, and I have no doubt that the education is still wonderful. With all the new, gradual contemporary alterations our district is making, Watertown-Mayer is only getting better.

Watertown-Mayer has been a great fit- not too big; not too small. LOTS of opportunities for students to be involved in athletics AND clubs/ organizations. Great for kids to be able to try new ways hints and discover their passions!

Several of the teachers have been fantastic, however the rest of the school has been disappointing to say the least. There has been bullying issues that the school does little to address. Same issues on the bus the school pushed off to the bus company.If your child has any special needs, forget about it. The school did as little as they could do for as long as they could. Hoping it improves, but not holding my breath.
