"Visiting so I cannot judge on 2 night stay, however, I have walked approximately 1 mile around the area I am staying and although a heavily trafficked road, I feel safe and shopping and restaurants are all within telling distance.if I was to live here I would not own a vehicle I would walk. Very close to the Miami international airport and plenty to do in the area."
  • Trulia User
"Martin Luther King Day Parade Black History Month African American Culture Museums Sports Football Basketball Food Trucks Clubs and plenty of Churches"
  • Trulia User
"Hi traffic area. Good area lots of nice homes. Central in location, many stores and business located on flagler and sw 8 st"
  • Trulia User
"getting very crowded and busy traffic but good friendly restaurants with good food and supermarkets closed to it close to coral gables and Miami Airport Miami tri rails terminal metro rail terminal and greathound bus service. "
  • Trulia User
"Great place for family and to buy or rent a home . Great schools great for relocating and job friendly."
  • Trulia User
"The are used very dangerous and constant car break ins and constant vandalization of the houses and cars. People even steal your plants from your front porch !!!! I left a pair of converse drying and someone stole them and I caught it on camera but obviously nothing could be done for some shoes "
  • Trulia User
"I love the location and great restaurants around the neighborhood. Close to the highways and Coral Gables. Mis point between north and south "
  • Trulia User
"We have neighborhood gatherings once or twice a month. We have a diverse potluck and we listen and dance to music which is common to our respective cultures. "
  • Trulia User
"It's Location is perfect 5 min to Airport 15 min to Beach. Centrally Located. Just needs some more tress and city maintenance "
  • Ymustelier
"I've lived in this neighborhood for more than 23 years. it's a relatively quiet area, close to the airport, ease access to expressways and important avenues, less than 20 minutes from Miami Beaches, choose to calle ocho. I've seen this neighborhood improve trough the years. Owners expend money making improvements to their houses. it's been nice to live here."
  • Maria D.
"Not very kid friendly neighborhood/ no parks. Must drive, not very safe to walk because of busy traffic streets "
  • Maria D.
"Closest park is about 4 miles away, but not very big. Not the best kid friendly neighborhood. Families, but older teenage kids"
  • Giselle L.
"You can walk your dog around but there are t any actual dog parks. Also beware to not let your dogs out alone. There’s a lot of traffic. "
  • Briwitzel
"It is close to everything and prices are fair. A great community for recent arrivals in Miami. Also very safe"
  • Nallelymc
"Many families with kids live here. It’s a friendly community with many local parks for families to go. "
  • Jennyfer R.
"Adults do forget to put their dogs on leashes causing a hazard to small children. Nice to walk around the neighborhood. "
  • Carloscoto305
"Lacks Parks and Trees in Neighborhoods Some Streets have no sidewalks Trees need to be planted in all Medians "
  • Jorge
"Melreese golf course right across avenue City of Miami black beard water park Close to beaches 836 coral gables MIA "
  • Jorge
"Right across melreese golf club potential value to go up if soccer stadium is built. Busy ave but city services everywhere. "
  • Terri L.
"Nice neighbors, safety, good schools and close to everything necessary like supermarkets, shopping, restaurants and more."
  • Maday
"Not a lot of pets in the neighborhood. No parks or open spaces for them, no bag stations to pick up after them. "
  • Giselle
"I have lived in this building for a little over two years. not the best place for my money. Walls are "very thin" can hear conversations and all kinds of noises, the terrace and common area has been under "construction" for over 9 months and stalled with no end date, association can't provide a date as to when the updates will be concluded. They threaten with fines for everything. Can't park SUVs or Trucks. Also from the looks of it a special assessment will be added soon, so be prepared for that. On the positive side, the building is gated so in general a safe place to live in."
  • Domingo G.
"I have live in this neighborhood since 1978 and unfortunately I have seen it in decline. Politicians come by on election time and make thousands of promises but none come to fruition. Sidewalks are falling apart and the streets are sinking due to enormous trucks passing through the residential areas. Cars speeding and the sense on insecurity have increased."
  • Ymustelier
"we have movie nights in the pool of the Grapeland Hight water park Very often we have a amusement fair coming to the grounds of 37th Ave and 7th St shopping center."
  • Reinierboulart
"No idea I have no dogs. I guess there is no a pet park or pet areas within the neighborhood that I know about it."
  • Janeta239
"Don’t really see many people walking their dogs around here but there are big yards in most houses so the dog could have his or her own space. Dog parks are close by as well"
  • Jdenriquez
"this is an old neighborhood that is very centrally located. new homes are being built to replace older homes but still older."
  • Melissa V.
"Specific buildings allow dogs, most don’t. More buildings than houses so very difficult to let them play and roam free "
  • C_quint
"Everyone here has a dog. A lot of people walk without doggie bags though. Be careful where you step. "
  • Brenda L.
"My neighborhood is very good, not much crime but a little scary at night. Other than that very friendly neighborhood and everything is very close "
  • Jenifer H.
"Pretty nice place everything clean and the area is safe I live in a building secure with electrical gates "
