5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMaybe in the past this was the school to attend in Madison county. Even I enjoyed this high schooll in the 90s. But in 2022-2023 with this administration it is diffinetly at bottom of the school system in area. Half the teachers just getting thru the day and head of administration should be over the animal control dept. This was and is a great community of parents and teenagers, however they are treated like a number here now instead of a student. My child had struggles with grades and administration and I thought was him and stayed on him everyday, but I decided to move cause I never had problems with him. I moved him and almost year now no problem from other school and is on a-b honor roll. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am currently a female student here. The dress code is completely unreasonable and sexist. They let boys get away with muscle shirts, boxers showing, wife beaters, but girls can only show hands and face. They separate gender too much, I mean too much as we lose education from it. The teachers are a the biggest problem. They don't let students have an opinion and they target them. Mostly non-white students. They try their hardest to fail a student is they don't like them. The teachers break dress code while us female students are suspended for showing our ankles. The teachers don't go over subjects they give us worksheets and get mad when we don't understand what it is talking about, and instead of helping us understand, they suspend us for "not doing our work." The principle doesn't take matters into his own hands he just lets it go. I have reported sexual harassment and he did not do anything about it, but instead talked to other students because they wanted to "fight" them for treating a women like that. The school is also very dirty. The custodians don't clean up and let the bathrooms reak. The school is also very unsafe students get in fights daily and get handcuffed. The students threaten shooting daily. The students assault teachers even. The students bully harshly and physically.
