This school is a poor excuse for a building. The teachers CAN be okay, but the building is falling apart, the school lunches are terrible, and all the students hate it.

This was our first year here with our first child going through kindergarten, and I could not have requested a better experience. I am sad to see the school year rapidly approaching an end! Mrs. Kelley was everything a parent dreams for his/her child; she made learning fun for my child while facilitating a strict but loving environment. She put emphasis not only on academic knowledge but on social and emotional development as well. She often emphasized that she has to help teach these kids to become little humans in addition to their state-mandated education, so she was always quick to shut down bullying and show the class compassionate ways to solve social problems. If our experience with Mrs. Kelley is any indication of the other teachers and the road to come, I will be thrilled to be a Prairie Trail parent for the next several years.As a side note, I have heard wonderful things about the dual language program also. And even though I am only a newbie kindergarten parent, it was very evident to me through fundraising efforts, extra-curricular activities, and the actions of all the teachers during school events that the majority of parents and staff members are highly committed to the development of the children in this community.

Marcus is a great school in a great area! We love Flower Mound!
