"The sidewalks are walkable and the area is pretty safe at night. There’s parks all directions. And the parks are well maintained. I love golden it’s a beautiful area "
  • Summer H.
"Dogs are always leashed and cleaned up after. Sometimes dogs around neighborhood bark, but nothing out the ordinary"
  • Rileyhodgson
"lots of open space and places to hike, surrounded by off leash dog parks and activities everywhere. "
  • R G.
"Neighborhood is great or starter families. Commute is by personal vehicle not public transportation."
  • Nissygcon
"Pretty safe neighborhood! I have lived here since high school and feel safe running and letting my kids play in the yard"
  • Kimm P.
"we do have a lot of other ways to get around other than a uber. but you might need a uber to take you to the train or bus"
  • Graham S.
"Most people are pretty dog friendly. I see people out walking with dogs at parks and trails all the time. But, there are a lot of people who don’t clean up after their pets."
  • Kasie A.
"It’s quaint without feeling too rural. I live across from the light rail which makes access into Denver easy and cheap. "
  • Sarah B.
"Outdoorsy, close to mountains and open space. Incredible hiking, mountain biking trails. Awesome historic and funky downtown, plenty of great restaurants and breweries. Golden history museum is great too, and walking the clear creek trail is wonderful. "
  • Matt
"Don’t really have one, Easy, almost non existent commute. Traffic during the week in golden does not exist."
  • Kaylee S.
"There’s great access to hiking trails and lots of parks. A few awesome dog parks nearby as well. People walking their pups pretty frequently. "
  • Kimm P.
"i live in golden 5 years. people have money up here. i love the people, school, activities and so on."
  • Roseoneill83
"Elementary school within walking distance. Lots of community events in downtown golden. Low crime. Close to major highways into Denver or the mountains. "
  • Opal
"There are not enough dog parks!! Tons of mountain space for my dog to run around but most people are very weird about their dogs and them being off leash. If your dog is well behaved then they should be allowed off leash! More dog parks would help this "
  • Chris
"Summer block parties, holiday themed events, neighborhood hanging out on summer evenings. Halloween is a blast here - everyone is outside enjoying themselves."
  • Kimm P.
"car shows 1st Saturdays of every month in spring summer and fall. historic downtown. river rafting at clear creak. only 4 minutes away. holiday lights. golden is home to the school of mines. world wide renound. fun happy people."
  • Glenn T.
"Parks are plentiful and nicely maintained. Lots of activities and groups. Lots of large wildlife in the area, so use caution with small animals and children. "
  • Kimm P.
"the mountains, hills, trees, small town feeling, lots of parks, trails, river rafting, restaurants and bars. the best historic town I've ever seen.Top schools. only thing is it's expensive to live here. I love it here it's peaceful "
  • Sarah B.
"There are mountain bike trails right down the street and you can bike just about anywhere. Our neighborhood only has one way in and one way out, since it’s tucked behind 70 and 6th ave. It feels safe and secluded, but there’s a ton of highway noise. It also just looks and feels more like Lakewood than Golden. All in all it’s a quick ride into the mountains or city, safe, with beautiful views, kind neighbors, but tons of traffic noise."
  • Ceairag
"school system is excellent, neighborhood is safe and awsome, with friendly neighbors. i love this neighborhood and recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to live in a safe warm friendly neighborhood "
  • Mike B.
"Lived here for 30 years, great walking neighborhood. Good access to everything. Mature landscapes and near open space great for hiking. "
  • edwardlarkin
"Good neighborhood. Lousy elementary school nearby. Too much weekend traffic on CO 93 and US 6 only negatives."
  • Alaneathorne
"Great access to the city, mountains, airport and all along the front range. Backs up to open space with wildlife outside your house. "
