5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent of 3 students, 1 in middle school at the moment. Lebanon indiana Middle School doesn't care student's education. Like the highschool in Lebanon Indiana, all they care about is sports . This year has been especially stressful, because my son has been struggling in a few classes, yet I can't get any of his teachers to see it down with me and discuss how to help him. Also, Lebanon Indiana removed textbooks from the classroom, and don't offer any outside study materials. They expect students to remember what their teachers said in class, or their notes from class. It's almost the end of the school year, and I have not met with of my children's teachers. When I asked about Parent/Teacher meetings, I was told they aren't scheduling them this year. And when I finally was able to set up a meeting with most teachers, one of his teachers (social studies) doesn't want to show up. He messaged me today and said he had "other obligations" on the day I was supposed to be meeting with teachers. And offered zero other dates to meet him. The gist of it, Lebanon Indiana doesn't care about students who struggle. They will push students on in their courses, because they want money for sports. All they care about is sports. I wish I could find another school. And am considering online classes, because even online classes offer outside study material!!! I'm tired of feeling like Noone at this school gives a care about the education of students.Parent Review2mo ago15 Reviews - Lebanon Senior High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a parent of two highschool students at Lebanon Indiana highschool. This school is absolutely terrible. Their high score is because they don't teach students, and pass them on no matter what, for money, so they can build more sports arenas. All this school cares about is sports. There are no textbooks for class. Teachers do not hand out any paperwork that has examples or instructions on how to work problems , such as math. And teachers don't communicate with parents! There are no parent teacher conferences. I have not met any of my children's teachers, and I do not think they care if a student passes or not. I am so over Lebanon Indiana highschool. They want money from the government, so they lie about their students success by passing students who need help big time. They offer NO HELP!! There are teenagers who barely passby each year, and no teacher cares. The principal has a massive Ego. He cares about sports, and that's it. Don't send your kids here if you want them to actually get an education, and want open communication with teachers/parent teach conferences.Parent Review3mo ago3 Reviews - Hattie B Stokes Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's terrible how bad the faculty is at planning events. There is no communication and no organization for something as simple as a winter show. There are not even enough seats for everyone. It's like they let the kids plan this. I witnessed them force a disabled person to move from the bleachers no one was sitting at so the kids could have a place to sit. Lastly, Why make us show up at 6:10pm to stand in the cold for 30 minutes before letting people in the building. We have a 10 month old. That is not at all ok.Parent Review5mo ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 9181 E 100th Rd N.

"I’ve lived here for 30 years and mostly everyone is friendly and kind. There isn’t much to do in the town but it’s still a great town."

"The school system is not the greatest. Yes, they teach the criteria that is needed for students to learn; but most of the questions on their larger state tests are different from what they’ve been learning. Also, punishment is not given to the max, as it should be."

"The Friendly City Is True To Lebanon's Slogan, However It's Not As Clean As When I Was Coming Up. We Should Have A City Clean Up Once A Month. "

"Nice sidewalks for easy walking, and we are in close proximity to the walking trail. It’s normal to see a lot of people walking their dogs, or just walking or running in the morning or evening. "

"I lived in Lebanon all my life until college. Great little town where everyone knows everyone and very friendly. The city is a "sleepy" city, but it is still a great place to live."

"Lebanon has been declared the cleanest city in Indiana. There are two large parks, including Memorial Park, which hosts two full-sized basketball courts, multiple pay apparatuses, and the newly built water park. The water park has two large slides, zero-depth entry, lazy river, splash area for small children, youth-sized water playground, wave pool, locker rooms, umbrellas, and concessions. Lebanon also has a movie theater in town, multiple restaurants, including BW3s, Arni's, and local bbq at Parky's, groceries, convenience stores, drug stores, and supermarkets. Sidewalks connect the city together for incredible walkability. Lebanon Community Schools were graded A by the state in 2014. The community hosts numerous events throughout the year, including the Boone County Fair, Fourth of July events, parade, and fireworks, and the Back to the Fifties Festival. It's a great place for families, young couples, and retirees. The people are friendly, there are many ways to get involved in the community, and the amenities are plentiful."
