This school has a very unpleasant environment

Busses break down constantly. Either kids dont get a ride to school or they come home at 8pm. A child brought a bb gun to our sons class. This said child was in trouble all year round. The teachers expect us to teach our children. They will cancel school over a thunderstorm. They're now going to mark kids absent even if the nurse sends them home sick with fever. Our son is straight A student. They try to threaten us saying he's missed to many days of school. Thankfully I kept proof. Ive had to collect evidence on a weekly bases to be sure they can't lie against us. If you're not apart if their teacher parent group that gossips and tears down others than you and your child are a target. We've received this treatment. They will goes as far as to exclude your child to try to hurt you. Some of the things these teachers say without reprocussion is sad. They constantly ask for money/donations. Even in prek we got multiple things a week asking for money. The officer assigned to this school had his suv style vehicle wrapped with DARE all over it costing 3-5000$. Our child doesn't know what drugs are. The DARE program is a sham. Id invite you to see who funds it and what the statistics are and why its never been successful. Our taxes and our children are why this school has a job. They need mental health services resources and communication conflict resolution available. Ive had to collect evidence to ensure they couldnt lie on us or our son. They tried to get us in trouble for the amount of days he's missed. Thankfully I kept copys. They will talk down and straight up lie. They're pack mentality is unacceptable. They will protect themselves instead of choosing to grow. Id invite you to go to the board if you aren't getting results. The middle school principle was caught coming to school drunk. Many parents are choosing to homeschool or put them in private school. Thats why their finding keeps going down. We've been praying it'll get better but its not it seems to be getting worse.

Giving it 1 star ONLY because I can't give it negative 5. I HATE Hickman county schools they are ALL horribly staffed, INCOMPETENT with anyone that isn't effected with any type of disability, and absolutely GARBAGE in any and all ways that count. I am DISGUSTED with these schools and their treatment of special needs children that THEY are ill-equipped and to ignorant to know how to handle. And their bus system is the most unfunny joke I've ever heard.

principles and others do next to nothing for students being bullied and discriminated against. SOME of the teachers are cruel, disrespectful and overwork students, They don’t respect 504 plans or IEP’s most of the time. My child has had to leave school early because the bullying is so intense. No child should have to come home crying every day because of these students being bully’s. And this school has done nothing in the years my child has been going here. Not to mention, the blatant disrespect from the school in general. TEACHERS have discriminated against my child and many other children. Do not go here unless you are rich and perfect or you will NOT be treated fairly.
