Bon Meade is a great school. I do agree that the class size could be smaller (18 or so), but generally 22-24 is not astronomical. I think the academic program is good but should be reviewed to present more challenges to higher achievers. I would also like administration to be a little more relaxed. Things are rather strict here- line ups do not have to be perfectly straight all the time, lunch time should be more relaxed where the kids can talk (not yell) more freely to each other without being reprimanded etc. Overall a good school.

This school is very inclusive and has many activities to satisfy all children. There is a very low, if non-existent bullying factor. It was surprising how well children support each other. The music programs are stellar as are the drama related activities. Every sport is available and there are several state championships. The math and science programs offer extra learning activities, open to all students. If you were choosing a school in the Pittsburgh area, Moon Area school district is one of the best options. In addition, to the school, the community is very supportive. It is a pleasant place to live. It's also minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, but you would never know you were close to a big city.
