Jennings High is an amazing place to be. The community is very involved and loves the school. There are tons of opportunities, and you truly are able to meet all types of people. The teachers really love the students, and that can be hard to find. They care more about the quality of material rather than the quantity, and always have the student’s best interest in mind. The counselors truly want to help you and are always there with a smiling face. The administration is there for help and any problems, and it is evident that they love helping out the students. There have been classes that I found easy and fun, and some challenging that I believe will help me prepare for college. All in all, Jennings High is a great place to be and I am proud to one day call it my alma mater.

This school has EXCELLENT teachers along with a QUALITY curriculum. Yes there are issues but overall this school is great. The academics are high, the Gifted program is wonderful, and class size is not overwhelming. A PTO is in the works which will only make the school better. The PTO really wants to improve communication, increase achievement, make the Positive Reward System better, and improve the playground. Achievement Test scores are good and can improve but using test scores to determine a good school is not the only way to determine if good teaching or learning is happening. Walk around the school, get a feel for what is happening in the classrooms, talk to the administration, that will give you a true picture of the quality education this school is providing. The cafeteria is too small for 600 students but this is a former high school so there is not much the administration can do about that. There is not enough recess, in my opinion, but I'm sure there is a reason, I just think that kids need to let off steam more than 10/15 minutes per day.
