5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInstruction is not designed for an active male child. Issues with teachers that want to fail my younger son for the actions of my older son in a prior year. Instruction and rules are not the same across the board for all, even on the buses to and from. One child is allowed to do one thing while another is not. My son was removed from classes at DMACC due to failing core classes at the high school, While another student from another family is allowed to attend DMACC while failing and not attending core classes?? I know this as the other family are good friends of mine. When I approach the school about this all I get told is that "we can not discus other students" I figure I will soon see this change, but nothing is done. It all depends on your standing with the school and the "educators" as to weather you will do fine or you will struggle in this school. The administration is only concerned about them self's not your student. Large class sizes I'm sure do not help, but also teachers that are way to protected due to their time in the school system. I have found this to be the same in the middle and high school environment. If there was another choice for a parents that work full time I would move my children to it. I can not home school as I work. Irving Elementary was a great school. I loved the instruction given and the year round approach.Parent Review3y ago - Indianola Middle School
