I loved my experience at Vance. The guidance counselors were my biggest problem. Just throwing Art students in any class and putting kids who don't care in art classes.

Overall I have enjoyed this school for my son. I moved from MD and lived in howard county where schools are great. I was so worried this school would be terrible based on the limited feedback and not so good reviews but they were either rare experiences or picky parents. So far I really like the school and how they handle things with safety, education, motivation and positivity. My son really likes his school.

if you wanna hear what's its like from an A B student that has been going to this school for all 3 years, keep reading.This school is just the worst school you could go to, suspend over small little things, fights every day, screaming in classrooms, MAJOR bullying/cyberbullying especially to disabled kidsthe elective teachers aren't that bad but some will treat you bad just bc they dont like you or if you just are being straight up disrespectful.the course teachers are all quitting which leads you to being dispersed and learning nothing and not being prepared and having no comprehension of the basic knowledge youre supposed to know by then.Yes they do culture appreciation etc etc but they dont do it enough, this school does absolutely nothing to keep you motivated to do school work andthis teaches you basically nothing and most of the times if you need extra help you wont get itthe principal never comes out and chats with the kids/teachers these kids smoke ALL THE TIME, yes even 6th graders ! in classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, cafeteria, bus, you name it.expect peer pressure in heremy point: dont send your kids here, they will most likely change in a bad way and develop some kind of mental health issue or make it worse.
