Available September 1st with a 9 to 12 month lease (your choice) - furnished, unfurnished, or partially furnished.

1 bedroom with full bath and an upstairs den/office/guest room with half bath. Large living/dining/kitchen great room downstairs. Completely remodeled 3 years ago. Off grid with solar and wind power. Includes a garage with workshop. Beautiful patio space including fire pit, rock garden, "outdoor" office.

Utilities are minimal spring/summer/fall due to solar power. In winter heating is via gas and wood burning stoves, supplemented by a heat pump system. So utility costs are propane gas and firewood in the winter, internet service depending on requirements (DSL and satellite are available, with bandwidth suitable for remote work), and water depending on usage. There is a well, but it generally needs to be supplemented with water delivery, or you can haul it yourself. For me I bring in about 500 gallons monthly at $150 delivered.

    "I live in this area and it is sometimes shocking how beautiful and serene it is. Surrounded by national forests and trails, you can find stunning rock outcroppings, smooth rock rivers and fields of wild flowers. The community is respectful of privacy but extremely helpful if needed-- as witnessed in the floods. Lyons is a close 10 miles away with a vibrant art and music community and delicious restaurants. Estes park is about 15 minutes away, which is where Rocky Mountain National Park is. There is a ton of wildlife too. Definitely a slice of heaven. "

    "Ride 20 or more miles of amazing singletrack and then hit Oskar Blues for great food and beer (and maybe a show). Or just hang by the river and read a book while tubers float by. Plenty to do in Lyons, lots of friendly folks, and a mellow atmosphere make it a great place to live. "
