4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI came in to this school to make a difference. My students were the best part of the experience. The leadership is was causes high teacher turnover every year. It is ineffective and not on the same page and does not keep students accountable. There is nepotism because the principal is so invested in wrestling that those students get special treatment and the assistant principal has a son in the wrestling program who also gets special treatment. All the other students know this and they do not feel as valued.Teacher Review5y ago - Glen View Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGlen View Elementary School provides the greatest opportunity for our students to succeed. Glen View Elementary has been awarded academic achievement awards and a Santa Clara County teacher of the year award. Students are engaged using Common Core standards to facilitate 21st Century learning skills. As a teacher employed with Gilroy Unified, I choose to send my children to this great school. Teachers are given support through curriculum, collaboration and mentoring. Leadership at Glen View is impeccable and committed to your child. My children feel supported academically and emotionally. Students are challenged in English language skills, Mathematics and Science through innovative classroom techniques and technology mastered through computer skills. Students have access to Google Classroom through the use of Chrome Books (laptops) and other devices to challenge and prepare them for the future. When you arrive on campus at Glen View Elementary, be prepared for the welcoming and encouraging attitude that permeates the corridors. Principal Sapien will be there to welcome you and your children to school. You'll find that the teachers have the greatest respect and care for you kids. You will recognize that Glen View commits to the development of your children.
