Local pride is always on display, as are scenes of classic Americana at every town parade, little league game and celebration on the famous Village Green. And citizens buried in the village cemetery since the early 1600's would easily recognize their surroundings to this day? And historic tours offered to visit neighborhood homes such as that of founding father John Jay? The definition of classic "horse country" where anyone can easily see foals playing each spring and often share the road with four-hooved vehicles throughout the seasons. Here, parents can still let their kids go off with their friends, ALONE, for a walk to get a snack, see a movie, go to the park or for a day at the pool.
