Neighborhood Description

This secluded Southern California hideaway is tucked away in the very heart of Pasadena. A home in every sense of the word it sits 75 feet back from the street in serene seclusion behind a tree covered front yard with garden pond. With a 2-car at the end of a 100 foot driveway, off street parking is never a problem. Seven days a week you will find families, young and old, parents with children in strollers- dogs in tow, empty-nesters, along wit retirees strolling the tree lined street it sits on. Located exactly one mile south of the Paseo California Mall, 1 1/2 blocks to the nearest bus-stop, 4 1/2 blocks to a Gold Line Station, 5 blocks to Trader Joes, Rite-Aid, restaurants and video stroes, it's hard to believe you can have so much privacy and yet be so central to everything you could possibly need. Schools- no problem: ALLENDALE ELEMENTARY: 3 blocks/ BLAIR HIGH SCHOOL: 4 1/2 blocks; PASADENA CITY COLLEGE, CAL TECH, HUNTINGTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, all less than 2 miles. It's not perfect and it's sold "as is" but it does have a lot going for it including a Mothers-in-Law quarters with private entrance and 3/4 bath, a nearly 250 square foot detached hobby/workshop with separate laundry room and a brick patio off of the kitchen perfect for that family barbecue in a fully fenced and totally private backyard. The second story bedroom has a covered walk-out roof-top patio suitable for lounging or entertaining. While not large, this home gives a feeling of spaciousness due to the abundance of natural light that fills all of the comman areas. A great place to settle and retire or terric place start and raise a new family......this is a wonderful place to call home.

"A long rich history, and the beautiful architectural homes Excellent school district and shops in different places to eat in down South. Pasadena is a beautiful City to live in"
  • Tawny Y.
"Even though people are good about picking up their dogs’ poo, not everyone is a responsible dog owner. I rarely ever see any leash-less dogs. However, some people claim their dogs are service dogs when they’re out of control. Most places here do not like big dogs in the complexes. "
  • Trulia User
"PASADENA is so friendly and quaint, we love it! It is a very family-first city. There’s no other place we’d wanna be!"
  • Trulia User
"Dogs are not allowed in my apartment building. Maybe a near by apartment allows pets but I rarely see people walking dogs in this area"
  • Trulia User
"All is well… live, love and laughter… thrift stores prove that giving back is everything. I would invite folks from all over California here. "

"Friendly/ approachable neighborhoods and neighbors…. Pet friendly Community/ equal opportunity, love and respect 🫡 "
  • Trulia User
"We moved back up here from Newport Beach just before the pandemic. Aside from the lack of ocean, it’s hard to beat this area. There’s something for everyone, whether you love the outdoors or the Old Town vibe. Even though I sell more real estate in other areas, I love living in this one."
  • Trulia User
"Lots of people and their dogs. Walking score high. But. Very busy for sure. Friendly neighbors Lots of restaurants and coffee tea shops "
  • Trulia User

  • Naima G.
"This is an absolute amazing neighborhood! It is not the type where your neighbors stay inside all day and never come out, or the type who are always nosy. It is perfect! At night there is no parties going on until like 3:00 or anything! It is quiet and nice, in the morning the birds are tweeting and you see people walking their dogs, biking, or just jogging! I totally recommend this neighborhood!"
  • Michelle K.
"You see people out walking dogs all the time. Friendly neighbors, tree-lined streets, quiet traffic. "
  • Joanna G.
"It’s well-maintained and near shops. It has friendly neighbors and it’s just a great place to live. Quiet at night but active during the day. Runners and dog walkers on the street. Bustling and historic and tree lined. "
  • Dg
