Description
Available 2/1 thru 3/30/2017. Fully Furnished 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home on 200 mostly-wooded acres and within 10 minutes of 3 grocery stores, a 24-hour Walmart Supercenter, Lowes, many restaurants, and churches of many faiths.
Spend cold weather months in temperate, northern Florida where Winter is mostly "sweater weather" with average low temperatures in 40s with daytime highs averaging 68 degrees. Evenings are great for fires in the fireplace or the fire pit and though we occasionally have a below-freezing morning it almost NEVER snows here!
Our home is also central to many northern Florida attractions such as Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (10 miles); Suwannee River State Park (16 miles); Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park (20 miles); Itchetucknee River State Park (28 miles); many fresh water (cold) Springs and fishing spots with boat ramps (1 mile to 40 miles); Gulf of Mexico fishing at Steinhatchee (57 miles); and many cultural, athletic, and educational events associated with the University of Florida and Santa Fe College in Gainesville (58 miles), and Florida A&M University and Florida State University in Tallahassee (85 miles).
Our home is of old Florida [removed] architecture updated with central Heat & AC, WiFi (12+ Mbps), 4 TVs, & 15 HD TV Channels including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CW, PBS and more. The Living Room is a mini-theatre with a 48" Smart TV & 5.1 surround sound system. All TVs have our Netflix account loaded and feature free WiFi streaming and a Blu-Ray player.
Outside there are 200 acres of old-growth forest and pine plantation that have over 5 miles of roads and mowed trails. On our property you can find deer, turkey, gopher tortoise, owls and more. Once our Tenants sign a waiver of liability they are welcome to roam our woods on foot or bicycle. Golf carts or 4-wheelers are also welcome if our Tenant brings proof of liability insurance.
Our neighborhood is quiet and is not on a commercial street or main highway. The street begins in a residential subdivision in town and ends about a mile past our home. Our home is about 1000' off the road and the homes beside ours are lived in by family members; all are on our old family tobacco farm that is now a pine tree plantation.
There is a state managed public lake less than a mile away that has fishing piers, a boat ramp, and plenty of parking space. Suwannee Lake was temporarily closed for a couple of years for renovations but has now reopened. Don't expect to water ski here, at 63 acres its more a fishing pond with quite a few cypress tress.
The home is fully-furnished and ready to be moved into. There are 2 sets of bed linens for each bed, 16 bath towel sets, dining room seating for 8 - with more in the kitchen, place settings for 10, all the pots & pans & gadgets for cooking, a propane grill just outside the kitchen door on the carport. a microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, single serve coffee maker that uses K-cups, pods, or ground brew coffee, and a popcorn machine.
Each full bath (2) has hair dryers. There is an iron and ironing board in the utility room, along with a clothes washer and dryer. There is a HD TV in each bedroom.
This home has been in AirBNB and Homeaway/VRBO programs with short term rentals most of the year at $99 per night. For a few months we are offering this home in heavily discounted 30-day increments beginning in January 2017 (possibly December 2016, or a portion of that month).
