My child has experienced racism, bullying, and retaliation from the principal and teachers at Brookridge. I have concerns regarding the principal's professionalism. My child reported new teachers yelling at students and physical misconduct towards students. It appears that if a parent expresses disagreement with the principal, she may inform her staff, leading to retaliation against the parent and child. Minority children seem to receive disparate treatment from the principal and staff. Although the school boasts diversity, the staff lacks representation of diversity. Lacks the educational support for students. These allegations warrant investigation and change.

This has been a great experience. My mother in law was a teacher here for years, and you can see the passion she invokes in students. My daughter now attends this school, and has had a great experience. New principal this year, so some rules were a little different than expected, but it is all to promote student safety so we can’t really be too upset by it. Students are not allowed to carry backpacks around FYI, so plan to buy your student a nice zippered binder or something similar. Only complaint my daughter has is about math, but not because of the teacher, more so she just doesn’t love the subject. She has been encouraged to try new things, they have relevant and new clubs all the time (a swifitie club!) and in general seem to be very all inclusive.

South is great. There is a large diverse student population, yet all kids seem to be getting along fairly well. The school is always well maintained, inside and out. Our kids have had games/activities here long before they ever attended classes, and it's always just so well maintained. You can tell they take pride in their school. Our daughter cheers, and they have a great program. They have so many different clubs and sports to participate in, and there truly is something for everyone. Faculty all seems to be genuinely invested in the students and their success, which as a parent is great to see. Communication is excellent on all fundraisers/school activities, and our kids LOVE participating in these events whenever they can.
