  • Williammcnelis
"Traffic is usually light except seasonal tourists coming in and out of the Sierras and Lake Tahoe Mostly it’s easy to get around though"
  • Kaylavernaza
"Not many kids around this neighborhood. Feel like it’s more elderly and retired people or people who live alone. "
  • Chocoletin

"Great place to raise children, the community come together. Good schools, children can join 4H, attend county events, close enough to Tahoe and Sacramento. "
  • Sdlacayo
"We have a great neighbourhood, who have become friends. We have a local gathering on pleasant valley Road, often with food! The area is private, very friendly people, great for local homesteading, beautiful wineries and living alongside wildlife can’t be beaten! "
  • Carol P.
"Lots of family activities throughout the year. Nice parks and a public pool. Close to Apple Hill. Good schools. "
  • Graceerhode09

"School are good and the neighborhoods are pretty great. I was born and raised here and have raised two kids here. I haven’t been anywhere in all my years that I would rather live and raise kids in. "
  • Currtfxrt

  • Sisqsquatch
"Placerville is a mixture of Sierra Foothills with bigger city amenities. It's a beautiful area and has a rich history connected to the Gold Rush in 1848. Plenty of recreational opportunities for all ages. "
  • Sisqsquatch
"Eskaton has great dog paths, it's a retirement community in Placerville and very quiet and friendly. For the most part people pick up their dog doo but occasionally you get a few bad apples. But that's anywhere I think. Overall, the community has a lot of different diverse walking paths with poop poles strategically placed. "
  • Rebecca K.
"Kind people. Everyone is respectful and quite polite at all times. Neighbors all seem to care about kids and how they grow up."
  • Sisqsquatch
"I love the various nature trails and the fact dogs are treated like parts of the family. It's a fairly friendly environment and the security makes things feel safe. "
  • Trinquinn
"Older community. Not a lot of children, yet there still are some families around :) everyone enjoys privacy "
  • Teresaannlacalle
"It’s a great place, as long as dogs are on a leash it should not be a problem. There is a lot of land and plenty of walking trails for dogs. The only negative thing I can think of as far as being a dog owner would be that they will be up all night...............they’re young!"
  • Gunladydfi
"Love the privacy and neighbors. It makes it hard to move away from this area. Plenty to do around the local area. Close to Lake Tahoe and Nevada in general. Lots of animals around. I can’t see my neighbors and the views from my backyard are to die for. "
  • Gunladydfi
"Love the quality of living in the Placerville. Plenty of activities to do in the area. Close to Lake Tahoe "

"My commute is short and uncomplicated aside from ongoing roadwork. I live in town close to the freeway and work in town as well. "
  • Nurseleah_04
"More kids are moving in thank goodness! Providence Christian school is the only school I can recommend!"
  • Stephanie
"This is a quiet neighborhood where you can trust your neighbors. They are friendly. People generally take care of their properties. We are close enough to town that we can walk to some local shops. "
