3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration has no respect for students. The VP wouldn't respect my desire to simply be respected when I was feeling disrespected by a teacher who acted out of line. He informed me I had no freedom of speech there and I was simply to blindly follow whatever I was told while I was attending there. I was then suspended for a week (first time ever getting in trouble and I had a 4.8 GPA, not a bad student) and then kicked me out of two of my classes that the suspension had made me go over allowed absences (this was just a show of power, they don't usually kick you out of classes for going over allowed absences) which dropped me down to a 4.2 GPA which I wasn't happy about. The staff there have zero respect for the students, there is a huge divide between the two and if you express your opinion and it's different from theirs they will come down on you as hard as possible in the hopes of getting you kicked out. I will never have my sons attend here.Parent Review7y ago - Shadow Hills Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had three kids at Shadow Hills and all have had a wonderful experience. Teachers have encouraged academic growth and supported our kids emotionally, we have seen no evidence of bullying, the administration has been very professional and communicative, the PTO is active and does a lot to support the school, and the music program is AMAZING. Our kids are very happy when school is in session and we feel very comfortable and safe having them at Shadow Hills.Parent Review8mo ago - Riverglen Jr High School

"My kids were grown when we moved here so I’m not intimately familiar with considerations for children… there are a few streets where traffic is heavy and fast, as well as a few open canals that could be dangerous. I would be very cognizant of these hazards if I had small children and I was looking for a home—find the smaller/quieter streets that are near the open spaces. "
