"I lived here for over 3 years My neighborhood feels safe because the streets are well-lit at night and there’s a strong sense of community among neighbors who look out for each other. "People wonder through neighborhoods and break into cars a lot. Lock your car doors when you park. A lot of solicitors knock on doors and sometimes they are scams. Tell your children not to open the doors for them. "

"Many of the homes are not well cared for. It is inconvenient to walk through the neighborhoods because sidewalks are in poor shape and people have trees/bushes/branches blocking the path."

"Fort Meade has events year round. They are all free and many are open to the public. Range from Fourth of July celebration to national night out. Also have free concerts on the parade field."

"Neighbor hood yard sales. Lots of Halloween events every year, Christmas too. Everyone in the neighborhood is very friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. "
