8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can’t say enough good things about this school. It has a neighborly feel and very family friendly. You walk in and staff know who you and your child are which makes it super inviting. We had a great connection with the teacher and administration. Leadership is very caring and if there is an issue or you have questions, you get a response quickly. We had to change schools due to a move but we are hoping to get transferred back as no school compares to Rocky Hill Elementary. My child absolutely loved going to school which made me so happy. Also, their teaching is fun and they encourage family involvement. My child went from average to overly excelling ahead to more than 2 grade levels in learning. I couldn’t have been more pleased. You know your child is getting the best education here. If you have any reservations if you are new to the area, DON’T! This school is awesome!Parent Review3y ago - West High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy concern with this school is the theatre program. In the past 4 years, I watched the same kids (even read their names in the playbills) over and over again. The students all knew it and those that truly wanted to get somewhere in theatre went to venues where they could get a fair audition, training, and opportunity to perform. So that my review is crystal clear, in this public high school only certain kids are landing the majority of leading roles in the 2 plays performed annually. If a student happens to land a leading role and they did not have one in the year prior, that is considered "taking a chance" on that student. Shame on this outfit for establishing norms of risk rather than celebrating opportunities for success. Each play should be fortified with a lineup of newcomers so that there is ample opportunity for all talent levels to participate.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 8300 Rudder Falls Way.

"The city as a whole has becoming increasingly “sketchy” throughout. It still has good parts but even those areas are not as good as what they were 8 years ago. I’d suggest doing some strong research."

"Someone tried to break into our house once while we were home. And raccoons tear up our garbage bins every week. Lots of homeless people waking around and speeding cars "

"We live on the water and we get to see a lot of boats/yachts go by. We are also close to campus so there is still a youthful vibe to the neighborhood. Knoxville has some of the best sunsets around, and being so close to downtown has made it easy to socialize. I would recommend better access to public transportation, but aside from that, this is a lovely place to live."
