7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's ok. From what i've seen and heard being there, most of the teachers are good teachers (except Mr. Bear). The staff treat me well and I try to treat them well back. I will admit, most of the classes Ive been in have had at least one consistent troublemaker. Most of the more strict rules in said classes do cause people to dislike the teachers, the rules are in place so they can spend more time teaching instead of dealing with problems. I do always hope that I don't get an actually bad teacher. The school is somewhat safe: for those who try to be. The special education programs are great, I can speak from experience. Well, I never needed THAT much help at this school. I do pass by the classrooms for the more high matinince and they treated well. I see some of them participate in school activities from time to time. The building is mostly clean, the janitors do a good job cleaning. If you can't deal with odors well: avoid the bathrooms. The "mostly clean" part is because the students treat the bathrooms terribly. I have one other thing to say but it would break the guidelines if I were to. Its nothing bad I just don't risk it.this is probably highly biasedTLDR: its good for those who try (and get good teachers). its safe for safe people, physically clean and most of the staff try.Student Review6mo ago12 Reviews - Leonard Evans Jr Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvans does a wonderful job of instilling the MISD values of every student every day. They are a certified AVID school, encouraging positive study habits and interest in higher learning throughout the entire campus. Evans is also the designated ESL campus for the district and manages the program extremely well. Unfortunately, the test scores for students just learning English are averaged in and reflect a lower “grade” however if you dig deeper into the data, you will see scores across the student population are good.Parent Review9mo ago7 Reviews - Jesse McGowen Elementary School

"Nothing at all. Very poor! We need to have more community parties paid for with our tax dollars. All the city does is bill us and don’t give back. Awful treatment of the citizens of Allen."

"There is a few small parks in the neighborhood and two very large parks less than 10 minutes drive apart. The amount of green trails are reasonable and a man made lake not to far away. All these spaces are great for dogs that are curious and energetic. "
