Silsbee High School is like too many other public schools, cares nothing about the individual, and puts the institution's needs above the students. Parent involvement is shunned, and obviously there aren't enough parents in this district who care enough to take a stand against the schools. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEJMSMS is under new leadership. The principal and assistant principals are positive and encouraging to the staff. With COVID 19 safety procedures required, administration has put into place a variety of protocols to help keep students and staff safe. "1122 is a dangerous road, kids should never play in front yard on 1122 ! Sheriff deputies very seldom run speed traps on 1122, in fact we are going to move from this area, too many sheriff deputies come to a location behind our house ! Had enough !"

"Used to live here. Too much violence in the schools. Some nice areas but most of the town was run down. We had really nice neighbors though."

"I live in Silsbee, and although we are moving to Austin, we have enjoyed living here. We enjoy living in a small town where you know your neighbors. There are lots of outdoor activities close to where we live within driving distance. The crime rate is almost nill here, unlike Beaumont, Texas."
