"commute is great. Everything I need is at least 5 miles or less and easy to find and get to. you have public transportation if you need it. there's walmart, vons, target Ross cell phone stores Ralph's Albertsons food restaurants and fast food of all kinds. everything us reasonably close and the beach is only 4 miles or so away."
  • Rama B.
"I work in Carlsbad and dislike the long drive. If you work in the area, the traffic is fine. Bbbbbbbbbb"

"Nice and relaxing feel with an overall family friendly atmosphere. In my neighborhood, the HOA does a good job of having everyone maintain their properties. "
  • Mtuisee
"I live about 10-15 minutes from the freeway without any traffic. I work in San Diego so it takes me about an hour to get to work in the morning without traffic and and hour and a half to get home in traffic. "
  • Me A.
"The parks are nice. I do wish people would be more mindful of not bringing glass that breaks and can end up in the play areas. "
  • Tina S.
"schools are good an there are many outdoor actives for kids to be involved in, such as surfing, horse back riding etc. Great feeling of community here too."

"Very dog friendly. Plenty of places to take your dog on a nice long walk. Only issue is people occasionally not cleaning up after their dogs."
  • Tina S.
"what I love the most about this neighborhood is we over look the Marine Base, and because that you get a lot of wild life, the sound of the frogs in the spring is deafening yet charming, also I am 1 mile from my barn where I board my horse. It feels like we live in the country instead of the suburbs. I live in the eastern portion of Oceanside, and this area is horse country, mainly Thoroughbreds. The San Luis Rey Training center for race horses is about 5 miles from my house. It is a quiet and very safe neighborhood."
  • Tculberson
"I take the train to downtown San Diego - I can either catch it at the Oceanside transit or the Carlsbad transit stations which are about 15 mins away"

"we have a beautiful view and it's very quite, yet fill the the music of nature, also the barn where I keep my horse is a mile from my front door!"
  • Nate
"great parks in the area people are friendly but there is about 80% Hispanic community in Oceanside so if you don't know Spanish it's hard to make friends."
  • Sharon S.
"It’s a little bit of country in the city. Parks lake fishing picnic and camping located very close by. "
  • Jhooten547
