Description

Your jaw will drop when you see inside this Powderhorn classic Dutch Colonial with amazing original woodwork throughout - highlighted by gorgeous built-ins and leaded glass. The grand foyer invites you in from the front porch and reveals modern touches combined with the original features to complete the contemporary feel. The kitchen, living, and dining rooms are all quite spacious and thoughtfully appointed. The 3 bedrooms are all on the upper level - each having 6 paneled doors and closets with original hardware. The full bath features a classic clawfoot tub. The backyard is fully privacy fenced with easy access to your own garage. The back lawn is edged in a whimsical arrangement of wisteria, roses, lilies, and peonies to encourage blooms throughout the summer, while the raised planter is perfect for a vegetable or annual garden. Not to be outdone, the front of the house showcases a mature native plant garden on both tiers - a haven for butterflies. Don't miss seeing this one!

"The people are friendly, clean, it's a neighborhood full of art and incredible people, a place where I feel comfortable, happy, and I have many interesting places nearby."
  • Sarah A.
"I’ve lived in Minneapolis for almost 20 years, and the Powderhorn neighborhood is by far the most community-oriented and welcoming area that I’ve experienced in the city. "
  • Yourdevildoll
"Eclectic neighborhood with lots of activity. Public transportation is easy. Centrally located to many attractions. "
  • Mackenzie O.
"What makes Powderhorn unique is its sense of community! People are kind, they look out for each other, and they are passionate about where they live. "
  • Dan
"The park is large and very dog-friendly. Most are well behaved, rarely do I hear barking in the neighborhood."
  • Healthywealthy1035
"It’s a neighborhood that encompasses diversity, as well as artistic venues - talented musicians, painters, sculptors and it is very family-oriented!"
  • Linda R. O. G.
"l've lived here for six years and lved loved it.people are nice, kind and friendly.and nature is so beautiful here and in the park.some times we here shooting out side at night "
  • Cskaalrud
"I've lived in either Whittier, Bottineau, or Powderhorn for over 7 years. Powderhorn is a nice, friendly, and really beautiful part of Minneapolis. Generally laid back, progressive or at least laisse-faire population. No more drugs, "gun-shots" (read: often fireworks, cars), or drug deals than ANY part of the Twin Cities, including the over-idealized suburbs. The stereotype here is that of "real hippies and hair dressers and drunks," but it's families, older residents, young to middle-aged renters and general true-blue Minneapolitans. A truly great mix of cultures, food, collectives, LGBT and POC friendly businesses, artists, workers, and families."
  • Alyssa N.
"the over abundance of crack heads, drug deals, gun shots and police sirens. it's a really nice area when the sun is up and the police presence is felt. otherwise don't walk alone and bring a weapon. also my car gotstolen literally IN FRONT of my house...so there's that "
